An updated range of specialized micro-abrasive equipment, designed for heritage restoraon and other delicate sur- face treatments, has been introduced to the US, aſter many successful years in Europe--the IBIX HP. The IBIX HP special cleaning equipment is intended for use on a wide variety of materials, including stone, brick, wood, glass, metals and composites, parcularly when they are more easily damaged by other methods. Pressure can be precisely adjusted from 0.2 to 7 bar by the operator to control abrasive media velocity. Many different types of media can be used, including calcium carbonate, fine garnet and sodium bicarbonate. Models are available with 9-liter and 25-liter media hoppers in dry-blasng or wet-blasng versions. The H2O models allow low-pressure wet blasng using atomized water mixed with abrasive directly at the nozzle. This capa- bility is ideal for work on parcularly sensive surfaces, and also minimizes dust. A smaller 3-liter unit is also availa- ble, which has the addional advantage of being very portable. With a specially prepared harness, it can be carried as a backpack unit. The 9-liter models weigh 12kg, and the 25-liter models 28kg, so they can be used in confined spaces, and on scaffolding, by a single operator. A choice of nozzles is available to suit specific applicaons, all of them compact and featuring a comfortable trigger-grip with safety buon. Helix nozzles available with the IBIX HP special cleaning equipment further improve performance, parcularly on deli- cate historic materials. By increasing the tangenal contact area, the Helix nozzles produce a gentle, consistent cleaning performance with low media and air consumpon. An updated range of specialized micro-abrasive equipment, designed for heritage restoration and other delicate sur-

face treatments, has been introduced to the US, after many successful years in Europe--the IBIX HP.

The IBIX HP special cleaning equipment is intended for use on a wide variety of materials, including stone, brick,

wood, glass, metals and composites, particularly when they are more easily damaged by other methods. Pressure

can be precisely adjusted from 0.2 to 7 bar by the operator to control abrasive media velocity. Many different types

of media can be used, including calcium carbonate, fine garnet and sodium bicarbonate.

Models are available with 9-liter and 25-liter media hoppers in dry-blasting or wet-blasting versions. The H2O

models allow low-pressure wet blasting using atomized water mixed with abrasive directly at the nozzle. This capa-

bility is ideal for work on particularly sensitive surfaces, and also minimizes dust. A smaller 3-liter unit is also availa-

ble, which has the additional advantage of being very portable. With a specially prepared harness, it can be carried

as a backpack unit.

The 9-liter models weigh 12kg, and the 25-liter models 28kg, so they can be used in confined spaces, and

on scaffolding, by a single operator. A choice of nozzles is available to suit specific applications, all of them compact

and featuring a comfortable trigger-grip with safety button.

Helix nozzles available with the IBIX HP special cleaning equipment further improve performance, particularly on deli-

cate historic materials. By increasing the tangential contact area, the Helix nozzles produce a gentle, consistent

cleaning performance with low media and air consumption. These tungsten carbide nozzles are available in several

sizes and are suitable for both wet and dry operations.
