Calling all high school students and individuals who want to further their
education and aspire to one day join the University of Louisiana at

questions about different types of forms, financial aid questions (where to
apply and important deadlines), and student life on campus. It is time to get
your life started, and by making the life changing decision,

Have you ever wondered where our Cajun music originated from? We
all know that this area is known for Zydeco, Cajun and washboard
melodies. Make sure to attend this heritage-filled experience as we
explore the origins of traditional songs of the area and their ties to
Canada and France. Sharing his exciting research is Dr. Barry Ancelet,
from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He has prepared a playlist
along with an informative lecture about the history and ties our music
has. Enjoy tunes recorded here in New Iberia by John and Alan Lomax
in 1934. This is something you will not want to miss. Make sure to
