Iberia, Spain's national flag carrier, commenced operations in 1927 and is resuming this route for the first time in 18 years since it withdrew in November 1998. Narita is the only Asian destination on the carrier's network. We are very pleased that Narita Airport is chosen as IB‘s first destination in Asia. This is a welcome development for Narita Airport, which has long wanted to expand its network to Spain because of the strong demand for travel to the country and also because there are no direct services between Narita and Spain. With this service to Iberia's home port of Madrid, it will provide a direct link to the carrier's extensive network throughout Spain,Europe and more convenient services to South America to which Narita's network does not reach at this point in time. Narita International Airport invites the traveling public to take advantage of its extensive network, which is now even better with the addition of Iberia's services. Iberia Launches Narita - Madrid Service New Service to Begin on October 19th, 2016!

- Direct Service to Madrid Returns After 18 Years -

- Narita is Iberia's Sole Asian Destination -

We are delighted to announce that Iberia Airlines (IATA code: IB) will launch a service between Narita and

Madrid on 19 October 2016.

Iberia, Spain's national flag carrier, commenced operations in 1927 and is resuming this route for the first time

in 18 years since it withdrew in November 1998. Narita is the only Asian destination on the carrier's network.

We are very pleased that Narita Airport is chosen as IB‘s first destination in Asia.

This is a welcome development for Narita Airport, which has long wanted to expand its network to Spain

because of the strong demand for travel to the country and also because there are no direct services between

Narita and Spain. With this service to Iberia's home port of Madrid, it will provide a direct link to the carrier's

extensive network throughout Spain,Europe and more convenient services to South America to which Narita's

network does not reach at this point in time.

Narita International Airport invites the traveling public to take advantage of its extensive network, which is now

even better with the addition of Iberia's services.

For further information, please refer to the Iberia website (www.iberia.com).

* Conditional upon approval by the relevant governments.
