Mr. Bianchi’s skills in the courtroom and record of success have distinguished him among his peers and have garnered an extensive range of coveted awards and commendations. He is a sought-after legal analyst for national news networks and a frequent speaker and educator whose expertise is matched by his engaging manner and his passion for the law.

Mr. Bianchi began his career at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s office, serving in various divisions before assuming the position of senior trial attorney, where he tried numerous high profile felony and homicide cases. Mr. Bianchi’s skill in the courtroom and his reputation for excellence, tenacity, and fairness, resulted in a role

training other assistant prosecutors and law enforcement officers. He continues to be asked by his peers to train attorneys in many states in the art of criminal trial practice.

In 1996, Mr. Bianchi left the Hudson County Prosecutor’s office and joined his father, Angelo (Buddy) Bianchi, in private practice as a partner in the firm Bianchi & Bianchi. The experience of learning from and working together with his father, an exceptional and noted trial attorney in his own right, has been especially formative for Mr. Bianchi.

Buddy Bianchi, a respected and honored member of the New Jersey legal and political communities served in Governor Brendan Byrne’s administration as New Jersey Commissioner of Banking and chair of the State Ethics Commission and instilled in his son a respect and love for the law from an early age. The opportunity to learn from his father and earn his own success trying a broad array of cases, ranging from criminal defense and criminal prosecution to civil rights to business litigation disputes, lay a powerful foundation for Mr. Bianchi’s career.

Mr. Bianchi’s legal career has been defined by his deeply ingrained sense of service. In each of the impressive high-level positions he has held, his widely respected knowledge and skill as an attorney have been matched by his desire to build meaningful, productive relationships – with his clients, with his colleagues, with his adversaries, and with the wider community.

Given his close relationship with his father, Mr. Bianchi has been training in the art of trial practice for most of his life. As a second generation trial attorney, his skills and reputation for excellence in the courtroom have undoubtedly been greatly influenced by his father’s example of excellence.

In 2007, Mr. Bianchi was appointed by the Governor of the State of New Jersey to serve as Morris County Prosecutor, a position he held for close to six years. As head county prosecutor, Mr. Bianchi was the chief law enforcement officer of Morris County, in charge of 44 police agencies and every prosecutor in the county. He managed a budget of over 11 million dollars and a staff of approximately 170 people – including all county prosecuting attorneys and detectives – and was directly responsible for every criminal investigation and prosecution of indictable matters throughout the county.

In 2013, Mr. Bianchi committed his skill and passion to serving clients in need of criminal defense, white-collar criminal defense, municipal court defense, domestic violence, and crisis management, with the founding of The Bianchi Law Group. Since the firm’s founding, Mr. Bianchi has drawn on his experience as a prosecutor and his enduring desire to serve others to offer clients a truly unique skill set, providing critical insight into prosecutorial strategy, media savvy, and clients’ emotional and legal needs, creating an unparalleled legal and holistic experience for his clients.

Mr. Bianchi has led the construction of cases as a prosecutor; now as a defense attorney he calls on that knowledge to deconstruct the prosecution’s case, with a keen understanding of potential flaws and inside knowledge that results in successful defense of his clients. Mr. Bianchi is a very knowledgeable and widely respected negotiator, understanding the nuanced, sophisticated skills necessary to protect his client and undermine the prosecution’s case and/or investiga-tion from its inception. This ability to negotiate successfully is perhaps the greatest skill and defining characteristic of effective legal representation.

Mr. Bruno’s experience serving in these units would build an invaluable foundation of knowledge for his later work as a defense attorney. The major crimes and fraud units, specifically, often manage the most challenging cases for the prosecutor and are staffed by the most talented and successful attorneys. It was Mr. Bruno’s responsibility to lead inves-tigations in these units, instruct law enforcement in building cases, and ultimately take many of the cases to trial.

In 2013, Mr. Bruno joined Robert Bianchi, the former Morris County Prosecutor, as a founding partner of The Bianchi Law Group, where his experience as an assistant prosecutor provides a unique and valuable advantage to his clients.

This ability to negotiate successfully is perhaps the greatest skill and defining characteristic of effective legal representation.

Mr. Bruno has also demonstrated his compassion for those who are struggling with addiction and other mental health issues as an assistant prosecutor, as a defense attorney, and as a board member of the New Jersey Prevention Network.

Mr. Bruno works closely with matrimonial attorneys who regularly represent clients with criminal law and domestic vio-lence issues. Mr. Bruno makes himself available for consultation and to handle those cases when they arise.

Professional & Client Endorsements:

Robert (Bob) Bianchi, Esq.

I’ve spent my entire adult career as a paralegal providing support to attorneys from Seattle to Newark. Without hesitation, Robert Bianchi is far and away the most passionate, skilled litigator I have seen in any courtroom. As a prosecutor as well as a defense attorney, the tenacity, compassion, and results are

unrivaled. The climate of a courtroom by its very nature can be unpredictable – the ability to successfully navigate any courtroom event instinctively, with fire in the belly, is poetry/art in motion when Robert Bianchi is on his feet. Importantly, Bianchi’s passion for the truth and natural ability to acquire equitable and meaningful solutions are just a few of the fibers that make this man a leader among his peers.” – Sheila M. Leary Frm. Director of Administration and Policy, Morris County Prosecutor’s Office

Bob Bianchi is the finest trial attorney I have ever known. I have served in the law enforcement community for over 25 years and have seen very good prosecutors and defense attorneys in that time. But without question, Mr. Bianchi is the finest I have ever seen in action. I have witnessed him investigating and trying

intense criminal cases and his passion in a courtroom, his ability to relate to a jury, his common sense, his knowledge, his strength and his control over the courtroom, is simply impressive and amazing. Juries respond to his presentations in a way that for over 25 years of courtroom experience myself as a police officer, I have ever seen. He is extremely smart and knowledgeable about the law and facts of a case.” – Jeffrey S. Paul Retired, Tactical Operations Captain, Morris County Prosecutor’s office

Bob is an aggressive and experienced criminal defense attorney. Having been the Morris County Prosecutor he knows how prosecutors think and as a result knows how to find the weaknesses in their case. If I had a family member who needed a criminal defense attorney, I would retain Bob. He has a wealth of experience

and knowledge and uses it to his client’s advantage.” – Joe Rotella Former President of Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NJACDL) in New Jersey

Not only is Mr. Bianchi a highly educated and experienced trial lawyer, but the main reason I took on the position as an associate at his firm was to learn from one of the best. Mr. Bianchi was the former Morris County Prosecutor, which gave him countless contacts and a broad network of connections in various fields

of expertise. In addition, he is a pleasure to work with as a result of his comfortable and engaging demeanor. With Mr. Bianchi you get the best of both worlds in one person – a prosecutor’s eye into the criminal justice system with the insight and skill of a criminal attorney.” – Brielle Tavaglione Insurance Attorney

Mr. Bianchi is hands-down the best lawyer I’ve met for countless reasons. He obviously knows his craft and considering his long lasting career, he knows it well. However, it is not every day you find a lawyer who cares about the well being of a person holistically as much as they care about the outcome of the case. As his

client, he not only kept me abreast of all things related to my case, he handed me books to read, encouraged me to find a new normal, and inquired on how my days were going. He simply cared. Some people do a good job of saying they care, and then there are people like Mr. Bianchi that actually care. He went above and beyond his call of duty. I hope I never need to be his client again, but I would encourage anyone in the need of representation to consider him before they consider anyone else.” – Client

I used Mr. Bianchi for my civil case. No other attorney wanted the case, but I knew of his reputation for being an aggressive trial attorney and that was what I needed. He was extremely creative in my case, and very successful in the results. He was excellent and I could tell that the civil attorneys were not as skilled

and accomplished as he was in a courtroom. He has a very commanding presence and it was clear that the other attorneys and judge respected his skills. I have also referred every friend who has had both civil and criminal cases. Mr. Bianchi is the real deal. He is incredibly prepared and to watch him in court is truly amazing. Sitting in court and seeing other attorneys, it is so obvious that Mr. Bianchi is skilled and talented beyond simple education and experience of his peers. It is really something to watch. He is also honest, easy to deal with, humble, and always returns calls. I never once questioned his dedication and skill. Awesome trial attorney…the ‘real deal’!”

As an addictions therapist, I have been fortunate to share some clients with David. Each time I have been very impressed with his level of understanding not only of addiction and mental health but the way he humanizes the client in the eyes of the courts. He takes a strength-based approach with clients and supports

every aspect of their therapy. He does an amazing job at really getting the court and judges to really be able to wrap their heads around the real issues at hand and see the client as an individual and not just another case.” – Leigh Kolodny-Kraft Owner at Kolodny-Kraft Therapy, Executive Director of The Kraft Group

I have known David both personally and professionally for many years. We formerly worked together as prosecutors in the Major Crimes Division and now that we are in private practice we have worked as both colleagues and adversaries. David has, what I believe to be, the four most important traits of an attorney:

(1) a tireless work ethic; (2) preparation; (3) a quick mind; and (4) tenacity. Although many cases do not go to trial, a client always needs an attorney who is prepared — one with a tireless work ethic. If your case does go to trial, you most certainly need a fighter and you need someone who can think on his feet. David is all of those things.” – Matheu D. Nunn, Esq. Partner at Einhorn, Harris, Ascher, Barbarito & Frost, P.C., Former Morris County assistant prosecutor Elected Official, Morris Township, New Jersey

How do you describe a team of attorneys that were so instrumental in saving your life? David Bruno and Robert Bianchi did just that! My case was unique and because I had never been involved or caught up in the legal system before I didn’t know what to expect or what to do. I had retained the services of another

attorney before David Bruno and I was not impressed. I was referred to David Bruno and Robert Bianchi, and from the very first moment I met them, I knew that this was different. They found major pieces of law overlooked by my former attor-ney. They wanted to know about me and who I was. Never was I promised that this case would be over quickly, but I was assured that he would work diligently to move this case forward and change the mind of prosecutor. Wow! If you need an attorney who is comfortable in the courtroom, knowledgeable of the law, and will work tirelessly, hire David Bruno. If you need an attorney who will let you live your life while they battle with the prosecutor over legal procedure, hire David Bruno. If you need an attorney who knows you personally because they care, hire David Bruno. In the court he not only fought over the legalities of my case but he also fought for me. I was referred to The Bianchi Law Group by a friend. From the minute I walked in Dave and his staff made me feel at ease. He reviewed my case and once I hired him he immediately went to work! The communication from Dave and his staff was constant, keeping me updated on what was going on. Not once did he or his staff

procrastinate. They were always a few steps ahead fighting for me! In such an awful time in my life, Dave believed in me and would always take the time to put me at ease and explain the process. Dave’s knowledge of the law, tactfulness and tough-proactive approach was amazing. I would recommend Dave and his firm to my friends and family without hesitation. Not only is he a phenomenal attorney, he’s an outstanding person!” – Client
