IRTE designs and manufactures parabolic antennas for microwave radio links since more than 30 years. Our team constantly works to improve and test all our dish with our test field consisting of a 53 m high tower and mobile trucks equipe with telescopic poles H=13m and HP, R&S and state of the art instrumentation.

COMPACT LINE High Performance Microwave Parabolic Antennas

The Compact Line is designed to be used directly connected over the most common ODU or in a standalone solution.The new series of parabolic antennas are designed to fulfill all the requirements in the implementation of Microwave Networks. They are compliant with ETSI specifications and are suitable for use in environments with high interference and frequency congestion problems. The Compact series offers ultra-high performance for installations in critical conditions.

HEAVY DUTY Microwave Parabolic AntennasThe reflector and the supporting back-structure of the antennas produced by IRTE are made of stainless steel or aluminium, while the pole-mount system and the nuts & bolts kits are made of hot-dipped galvanised steel (CEI specs 7-6 file 239).The use of materials with minimum oxidation potential difference (< 0.4V) and of special protection coatings are used to avoid galvanic corrosion in all areas critical for the working of the antenna.The devices for the fine adjusting of the azimuth and the elevation (± 7°) are in hot-dipped galvanised and stainless steel.Adjacent to the antenna, near the mount system, there is a clamp for earthling of the feeder and the metal parts of the reflector.All the feeds are pressurizable at 25 KPa (0.25 bar). Upon request, as regards frequencies up to 2.45 GHz not requiring pressurization, foam filled feeders are available.The antenna is supplied with a pole mount system (ø 115 mm). Antennas bigger than 1.2 m are equipped with wind braces. Details of the dimensions used for the installation purposes are summarized in Tower interface page.The whole system of reflector, supporting back-structure and pole mount’ have been carefully designed and dimensioned using a structural finite elements analysis program to obtain necessary reductions of the total weight without reducing the structural strength.The system can withstand a wind speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) and 2.5 cm (1″) of radial ice without any permanent warp and has a maximum deflection of 0.1° with a wind speed of 110 km/h (68 mph). The maximum load at a wind speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) is listed in the weights and wind loads sections in the following pages.The antennas operate in a temperature range -40°C +60°C and satisfy all specifications indicated in the document EIA RS222E.

DE-ICING SYSTEMS Designed for extreme installation conditions,low temperatures, ice or snow, the deicing systems guarantee a constant temperatureof 7°C with very low power consumption. Easy to install, it can be mounted directly on the shroud of any High Performance parabolic antennas without any break of the service.Various models can fit antennas from 0.3 up to 4 m diameters.Max Wind: 200 Km/h.Min. Operating Temperature: -30°C

TVRO ANTENNAS

The satellite antennas for receiving and/or transmitting earth stations manufactured by IRTE are configured as prime-focus or Cassegrain antennas.Special trailer-mounted versions have been designed for custom projects, with a folding reflector to be contained within the maximum size allowed by road traffic regulations. The feed-horns, can be supplied with input and outputs in the two linear polarizations and whit filters capable to give input/output decoupling values higher than 70 dB. The standard production includes reflectors with diameter of up to 4 m. It is always possible to custom-design and manufacture antennas in configurations different from those indicated (offset, Gregorian, etc), as well as the production of feed-horns in whichever combination of polarization either linear or circular.

STANDARD hORNS

The standard horns produced by IRTE S.p.A. are carefully made according to extremely accurate calculations. Besides the normal use in the operating links, they can be used as reference samples in the delicate field of the electromagnetic measurements.The maximum error on the declared value of the gain is not higher than 0.2 dB. The gain curve on the whole band of operation is supplied, on request, together with the antenna. The horns are made of aluminium and are equipped with a pole mount with diameter included in 70 – 115 mm.The front closing is made with Teflon sheeted; the thickness varies according to the frequency. The models indicated in the catalogue are available from stock, but is possible to produce standard horns in any band up to 26.5 GHz.
