ICT IN OUR SCHOOL
Rivervale Primary School has been included in the Education Department‘s
recent ―Devices for Schools Program‖. This great initiative has meant
that we can provide even more technological hardware in the classrooms.
Currently we have 48 laptop computers and 57 IPAD devices. This creates
a ratio of computer to students of better than 1 to 2. The ―Devices for
Schools Programs‖ allowed us to spend dollar for dollar up to $20 000.
This money has been used to keep our IT system running smoothly and to
add some innovative items to classrooms. We are very mindful of linking
the use of computer devices appropriately with the WA Curriculum.
AFTER SCHOOL PLAY
We have noticed that we often have 30—40 children playing at the play-
grounds near rooms 7 and 9 and TLC2, after school. This is causing issues because ;
cleaners cannot do their job properly. They need to clean drink fountain and toilets and these are
being used by children.
Children are running, climbing and at times playing inappropriately – there are no duty teachers to
intervene if required.
We would really appreciate it if your take your children home in a timely manner. Children who walk home
by themselves will be asked to leave.
