• Islam is a monotheist religion i.e. worshipping one god only.

• Islam was founded by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

• There is one and only god in Islam which is Allah.

• In the Quran it is even written that there is only one god which is Allah.

Practices in Islam…

• There are 5 pillars in this religion that every Muslim needs to follow throughout there life. They believe in these and fulfil them in their lifetimes.

Shahadah…

• 1st pillar of Islam. • Statement to recite truthfully. • Whoever doesn’t isn’t a pure

muslim.• Recite 3 times.

Salat…

• 2nd pillar of Islam • Mandatory system of reciting prayers. • Every muslim needs to recite these

prayers.• Specific timings.• Starts from before sunrise and ends at

midnight.

Zakat…

• 3rd pillar of Islam.• Giving 2.5% of wealth.• To help benefit the poor , not to show the

kindness. • God decided who will be rich and poor, so

Zakat helps. • Muslims learn different attributes throughout

this process.

Sawm…

• 4th pillar of Islam.• Fasting on Ramadan. • Not to eat or drink. • Strict rules apply on this. • Obeying god in the process. • Learning different qualities.

Hajj…

• 5th and last pillar of Islam. • Praising Allah.• Going to Saudi Arabia for seeing the “Kabah”• To feel the real purpose of the soul and life. • Compalsary for every Muslim to Hajj once in a

lifetime. • No non-muslim allowed to visit ; holy place. • Health problems can stop.

languages.
