A FAMILY PERSPECTIVE by Bud Ozar Pentecost Sunday – Today’s gospel tells us God
actually wants to take up residence in your family, “We will come and make our home with you.” Every family is called to be a tabernacle where God dwells.
Is Jesus a permanent member of your family or a temporary guest? Today the promise is given. The
choice is ours.

Pentecost Sunday of Easter
"Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you."
- John 20:21
The early Christian community knew that Jesus and the life-giving Spirit were with them. That conviction
sustained and empowered them to deal with unimaginable challenges. We are given the same presence, peace and forgiveness when we come
together, and we are called today to pass that on to others. What signs of this presence do we experience?
How do we express it to others?
Penitential Act Lord Jesus, you were present to your disciples when they were hiding in fear: Lord, have mercy. Christ Jesus, you shared your peace and breathed the Spirit upon them: Christ, have mercy. Lord Jesus, you are present to us now with the same Spirit and peace: Lord, have mercy.
Scripture Readings Acts 2:1-11 The Spirit’s presence is made manifest among Jesus’ disciples Ps 104 Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the Earth. 1 Cor 12:3b-7, 12-13 All the Spirit’s gifts are equal and necessary for the whole body Jn 20:19-23 Jesus’ peace and forgiveness is to be shared with others

Question of the Week
For Adults: What gift of service have you received from the Holy Spirit and how well are you using it right now? For Children: What gift do you hope to receive from the Holy Spirit? How could you use it to serve others?
