How is this Revelation of God realized? IN DEEDS AND IN WORDS

Explain the interplay of deeds and words in the economy ofRevelation Moreover, Revelation did not happen in an instant. It is a

gradual process that happens in history.

It begins with creation---manifestation to our first parents---from the fall onwards God has never ceased to take careof the human race---the call of Abraham and creation ofGods people thru the patriarchs, Moses and the prophets.God taught them to acknowledge Him as the one living and

true God, the provident Father and just Judge andpromised them a Savior who is to come. In this way, downthru the ages, God prepared the way of the Gospel.

The Letter to the Hebrews proclaims that after Godhad spoken at various times and in many ways thru theprophets, in the last days He has spoken to us thru aSon (Heb.1;1-2).

In Jesus Gods Revelation is completed and

    perfected.

He did this by the total reality of His presence and self-manifestation, by his words and deeds, by his signs

and miracles, but above all, by his death and gloriousresurrection from the dead, and finally by the sendingof the Spirit of truth.

What did Jesus reveal? THAT GOD LOVES US, OUT OF HIS LOVE HE

CREATED US, BY HIS JUSTICE HE CONDEMNED US,YET IN HIS MERCY HE FORGIVES US AND WON FORUS ETERNAL LIFE. GOD IN JESUS MAKES HIMSELFKNOWN AS FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT.

HE REVEALS HIS SALVIFIC WILL, HIS INMOSTDESIRE TO FREE US FROM THE DARKNESS OF SIN

AND DEATH SO THAT WE WILL SHARE IN THEDIVINE LIFE AND LOVE OF THE FATHER, SON AND

    HOLY SPIRIT THRU ALL ETERNITY.
