Osberg (n.d.) states “Many educators have tapped into the educational potential of virtual environments”
Virtual environments are useful for teaching.
Walbert (n.d.) says virtual environments make curriculum come alive.
Virtual environments are interactive and collaborative says Shaffer (n.d.).
They are engaging, safe places for students to learn.
Second Life Education VideosSecond Life is the largest virtual environment sites
on the web, 1 billion users says T. Linden (2009)."I looked around and I thought, this is crazy," Knittle
(n.d.) recalls. "I just couldn't see the value of it, so I left.
After joining the Second Life Education Video site, http://virtualenvironmentvideo.net/, for Second Life Instruction, "I quickly realized that Second Life was a great place for educators to collaborate and share their experiences," says Elizabeth Knittle (n.d.).
