1. The vacancies may vary as per actual requirements in the various depots. These vacancies include the backlog of the reserved categories also.

2. The applicant should not be less than 18 years or more than 40 years of age on 10.12.2012. 3. The last date for receipt of duly filled in application forms is 10.12.2012. 4. No candidate shall be allowed to apply at more than one depot. All the applications of the applicant(s)

applying at more than one depot shall be summarily rejected. 5. The selected candidates shall be liable to serve at any place, whether within or outside the State of Haryana on

being ordered so to do, by the competent authority. 6. The applicant shall clearly write the name of the post on the envelope and send it through registered post to the

office of concerned General Manager of Haryana Roadways on or before the last date i.e. 10.12.2012 (upto 5.00 PM).

regarding allocation of depots etc to the selected candidates, decision of the Director General,

State Transport, Haryana shall be final.

2. Age Limit /vk;q lhek

The applicant shall not be less than 18 years and more than 40 years of age. Applicants

belonging to SC/BC category shall be given age relaxation as per Haryana Government

Instructions/Rules. For Ex-servicemen applicants relaxation upto continuous military service

added by three years is permissible.

An applicant must (a) be a citizen of India, (b) be of good moral character (c) be of sound health

(d) not have more than one spouse living (e) be matriculate with Hindi or Sanskrit from a

recognized Board/University and should be holding a valid Transport Vehicle Driving Licence

along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of driving a Heavy Goods Vehicle including

proficiency in driving a Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle or 10 years experience of driving a

4. The appointment will be on contract basis for a period of three years from the date of

appointment and the Heavy Vehicle Contract /Daily Wages Basis Drivers shall be upgraded as

Heavy Vehicle Driver Grade-II after satisfactory service of three years as such and further as

Heavy Vehicle Driver Grade-I after satisfactory service of two years as Heavy Vehicle Driver

Grade-II.

i) The applicants belonging to General category are required to attach a demand draft of `200/- as

application processing fee. The candidates of SC/BC candidates of Haryana only are required to

attach a demand draft of ` 50/- as application processing fee. The demand draft should be

issued by any Nationalized / Scheduled Bank in favour of the Director General, State Transport,

Haryana, Chandigarh. The applicants shall write his name, father’s name, name of the post and

8. Selection Process/ p;u izfØ;k

The selection process shall comprise of two stages:- (i) Driving Proficiency Test and (ii)

Intereview. The Driving Proficiency Test shall inter alia include DUG Test, ZIGZAG/8-Shape

Test (both forward & reverse), Road Test etc. Those applicants who qualify all the stages of

Driving Proficiency Test shall be called for interview. Final category-wise selection list shall be

based on the marks obtained on account of experience, educational qualifications as well as in

the interview.
