I Knew Jesus Before He Was Jesus…

And He Was Incredible!

I will proclaim the Lord’s decree:

He said to me, “You are my son;

today I have become your father.

Whenever Jesus became a son,God became a father.

We know that:OJesus was equal to God.OJesus was the Creator.OJesus submitted to become a

son.

We don’t know His name until the New Testament

and we don’t recognize Him,

even though He was there.

Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

16who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever.

If you believe that the Bible

is God’s Word then

NO ONE HAS SEEN GOD!

What about those who claim

all through scripture to see

God?

Who do they see?ONo one has ever seen God,

but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. (John 1:18)

Most of the time He is referred to as “The Angel of the Lord”.

OWord “Angel” means “Messenger”.

OGreek (aggelos) Hebrew (malach) both mean messenger.

An angel is distinct in the Bible from The Angel.

OThe word “angel” is never used to refer to a human in scripture.

Isaiah 6:1-10O …”I saw the Lord seated” (v1)O …”and my eyes have seen the King,

OWho is this?OAn angel?

No – angels wouldn’t allow that.O 9Then the angel said to me, “Write this:
