Dr Simon Planzer is partner at PLANZER LAW, a law boutique specialised in European and Swiss gaming & entertainment law. He is member of the Internal Masters of Gaming Law and the International Association of Gaming Advisors. He also serves as Lecturer in Law at the University of St.Gallen HSG. Simon Planzer has written and presented extensively on international gaming matters. Inter alia, he is the author of “Empirical Views on Euro-pean Gambling Law and Addiction” (2014), a comprehensive monograph on EU/EEA gaming law endorsed by some of the finest gaming lawyers. Simon Planzer studied i.a. at the Universities of Harvard, St.Gallen HSG, the European University Institute, and the College of Europe.

Peter is head of the Secretariat of the Belgian Gaming Commission and member of the Expert Group of the European Commission. Maris currently occupies the role of Responsible Gaming Manager at Unibet. She has a Diploma in Gambling Addiction Counselling and Psychology, and is now reading for her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Mark Griffiths, focusing primarily on the analysis of the early signs of online problem gambling, responsible gaming tools and responsible gaming promotion. Whilst recapitulating research for her role, she has started an innovative detection tool with Unibet, known as PS-EDS (Player Safety – Early Detection System). This has shown an impressive advantage in the company both from a commercial perspective and also internally addressing Corporate Social Responsibility.

Dr. Wiklund has been legal counsel for major online gaming operators for almost 10 years. His sector expertise ranges from commercial and regulatory to M & A. He was formerly head of the Betting & Racing Branch at the British Department for Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS). Prior to that, he was at the Home Office, spending time in both the Gambling Section and the Horseracing Policy Team. Clive is also on the board of the Responsible Gambling Trust, the British charity that raises funds for problem gambling related research, education, and treatment.
