Not to say that it is a light- hearted topic, but the way this subject is treated is captivating. You will meet two heroes in the book, one who is cautious and the other who is not. They are cartoon characters but portray a surprisingly real- life situation. There are also motivational messages. In a nutshell, it is an exciting, educational, yet young and fresh look at the issues. Spicy Milk Tart staying in Ingredients 200ml Liquid flora (Its low in cholesterol) 150ml Golden syrup 2 cups Jungle oats 1 Flour cup Nuts (I use chopped walnuts) 50ml Orange juice 1 cup Dried apricots 1 cup Raisins Method 1. Heat the liquid flora and golden syrup together in a saucepan. 2. Mix in all remaining ingredients. 3. Spread the mixture onto a big square baking tin. 4. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees celsius for 20 to 25 minutes or until it turns golden brown. 5. Cut into pieces and leave in the tin until it has cooled down. Ingridients 220g crushed digestive or tennis biscuits 125g melted butter Filling: 500ml milk 1 piece of cinnamon stick 100ml sugar 2 eggs, lightly beaten 50ml corn flour 50ml flour 5ml vanilla essence 30g butter/margarine cinnamon/mixed spice and sugar for sprinkling Method: In a bowl combine the crushed biscuits and melted butter, then press into a pie dish. Filling: 1. Place milk in a pot. Add cinnamon stick and allow to simmer below boiling point. 2. Mix beaten eggs and sugar together, then add in flour and corn flour to form a paste. Pour hot milk into the mixture stirring rapidly. 3. Return mixture to the heat to cook, stirring gradually to allow the mixture to thicken. Remove from the heat. Add essence and butter and stir well. 4. Pour the mixture into a prepared crust and allow to cool then sprinkle with cinnamon, mixed spice and sugar. 5. Refrigerate. 10 This is a quick snack to prepare. A combination of dried fruit can be tried in this recipe. Serves 6-8

200ml Liquid flora (Its low in cholesterol)
