I don’t know what to sayI wish … I hope …

May the road rise up to meet you.May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;the rains fall soft upon your fields

and until we meet again,may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

May you know the peace that passes understanding.

Peter and Gentiles11Peter saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet

being let down to earth by its four corners. 12It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air.

13Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat."14"Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean."

15The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.“ (Acts 10)

11When Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned.

12For prior to the coming of certain men from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he began to withdraw and hold himself aloof, fearing the party of the circumcision. (Galatians 2)

12I wish that those who are troubling you would even mutilate themselves. (Galatians 5)

1 Peter 1:1-91Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,

To God's elect, strangers in the world, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia,2who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope

through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade-- kept in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

6In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.

7These have come so that your faith-- of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-- may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed.

8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Thank God for his Word to us

All my days I will sing this song of gladnessGive my praise to the Fountain of delights;

For in my helplessness You heard my cryAnd waves of mercy poured down on my life.

I will trust in the cross of my RedeemerI will sing of the blood that never fails;

Of sins forgiven, of conscience cleansedOf death defeated and life without end.Beautiful Saviour, Wonderful Counsellor

Clothed in majesty, Lord of historyYou’re the Way, the Truth, the Life.

Star of the Morning, glorious in holinessYou’re the Risen One, heaven’s Champion,

And You reign, You reign over allI long to be where the praise is never-ending

Yearn to dwell where the glory never fades;Where countless worshippers will share one song

And cries of ‘worthy’ will honour the Lamb
