Melissa FryeCI350Web 2.0 Review I chose the website www.reddit.com to review. This is a site that I have often heard of,

but I have never taken the time to visit it and explore it. Basically what I got from Reddit

is that it is exactly about what it says. Reddit is about everything. There is post after post

of different topics, and you are free to roam about and read what you please. There are

all different types of subcategories to explore like funny, world news, videos, movies,

sports, television, and the list goes on and on. Everyone can use Reddit. There is no age

limit to join this site. It took me literally one minute to create an account. All it asks for

is an email, username, and password. This is a real time element. You can post

whatever, whenever. Also, I think this site really does promote collaboration. You are

able to comment on whatever you feel the need to comment on, share it, or even report it.

You can use this in the classroom, but a teacher needs to be the one controlling the site.

There is a variation of different things on this site, and if a child was on it alone, it would

be deemed inappropriate. For an example, I typed in “North America Wildlife” on the

search bar and several things popped up that I am sure I can use in a classroom. Overall

Reddit is a pretty cool site, and it is literally about everything. It can definitely be used in

the classroom as long as it is under teacher supervision.
