Quick Overview I am Number four was a movie about a teenager

who was just trying to fit in, but in reality he is a Alien on the run with his Guard who is assigned to protect him. He is eventually found and has to grow up a lot faster then he would like to. The other 7 aliens finally all meet up and help to protect each other. John the main character learns some life lessons and many of the people in the group now look to him as the main leader when at the beginning he wasn’t even able to use his powers. John does a lot of growing up through out the movie, and turns in to a true hero.

Answer John Smith the main character is trying to be

an everyday average teenager but being an alien from another planet is making that a bit difficult.

There are 8 others that are like John,and because they are different and from another planet they are being chased to be killed by enemies hunting him.

He has to move around with his body guard Henri who is trying to keep him safe but the hunters always seem to find him.

How were the problems in the Dystopia formed?

Answer. John and the other 8 escaped from the home planet

that was being over ran by the Mogadorians, and now that there on earth the Mogadorians are after the 8 so they can all finally be killed.

Number 3 is killed by the Mogadorians so Henri knows that John will be next and that they need to move on to a new town.

John is told by his guard that he needs to keep a low profile in there now location of Paradise,Ohio so he is not descovered.But John has a hard time of that.

Who is the New Dystopian Hero.What qualities do they embody.

AnswerThe main Hero is mostly focused on John and

his new found love at the new school he is at. Not only does he fight for his own life, but he now is protecting his girl also.

You could say that when all the Lorien come together they are way stronger.

John is the Main Dystopian hero And everyone is counting on him to almost protect them in times of attack.

Question How does the hero Function as a cure for the

Dystopia.

Answer. John is slowly learning how to use his powers,

but when Henri is kidnapped he knows that for his people he needs to step up and be leader.

John masters His telekinesis powers which wasn’t a easy task,and it helps a great deal when it comes to rescuing. When it came down to being the main hero he was even able to stop a bullet that was shot at him.

Question.What fears of our own culture are reflected in

the texts.

Answer The fear in our own culture that can be seen is

just good vs evil like in our wars that we are in now and wars that we have been in the past.

Fighting for what you believe in and with more people you can be more powerful.

They made it clear that the Mogadorians were evil,but like us in the united states evil things like war can be over came.

Question

What is the warning we are to receive about where our culture is headed.

Answer.

In the United States we havent had to worry about other outside world species,but in the terms good vs evil you can look at many things from war to just wars with our government. Good will always prevail and I think through out our history that has proven true,and I think this movie is a good example of how eventually the good will prevail.

AnswerWe see the problem of good vs evil every

where we go and it seems to be getting worse every year.

There are times when sacrifices have to be made like henri dying for john to get the life experience he needs so he can become the leader that everyone needs him to be.

QuestionBased on the text, how should our culture

change/be prepared to aviod becoming the dystopian culture in the book.

Answer I think as of right now we shoudnt have to

worry about aliens invading our planet,but I think there is a lesson to be learned that we should except people for who and how they are.

As long as they are not harming anyone else then I think everyone should be given a chance to prove themselves as a useful person to our society even if they happen to be from another planet.
