or the past few months, I have been feeling this powerful “shift” taking place within my soul

(your mind, will and emotions). This shift, at first, was uncomfortable because I wasn’t clear as to why it was happening and what it was all about. My ego’s need for control didn’t really like the idea of having something “out of control” or not having an understanding of what was taking place. Over the years I realized that this “defense mechanism” was my need for safety and security…I’m sure you understand what I mean. “Shifts”, for me, typically show up during a loss in my life or when I was be-ing called to a higher level of transformation in my overall sense of self and sure enough, that’s ex-actly what happened.

From July to December of 2013, I experienced several losses, almost back-to-back. I lost family members and friendships. I experienced the dis-appointment of failed endeavors, decreased en-ergy and stamina, and a decline in finances. I also experienced feeling a deeper calling to step into my higher divine spiritual essence as a woman, a healer, transformational coach, speaker, teacher and now author.YET, in the midst of these “shifts” more self-awareness developed, a profound sense of self-assurance and confidence formed, clar-ity about next steps emerged, higher paying and cooler clients sought my services, and a determina-tion to show up in a bigger way, so that I can serve in a greater capacity, became my drive. With these revelations also came an amazing sense of inner peace, something I had been missing for a long while.

Becoming Outrageously Successful in 2014

by dr. Anita M. Jackson

f As we enter into a new year of opportunities and possibilities, I want to challenge you to do some-thing different this year. Instead of making “resolu-tions” (which 80% of the time we forget about by March), I want to invite you to set a few intentions for yourself. The word intention (n) literally means, a course of action; an aim that guides action. The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles states that in order to manifest “riches” there are several specific actions that empowers one to at-tract a higher level of riches in one’s life. If you ever read, or glanced, at Forbes 100 magazine when they list the richest people in the world, you will notice that most of the individuals on the list are men, very few women are ever listed. Ever won-dered why? I have and I believe this has to do with the fact that men are somewhat better at staying focused on the course/task at hand than women (side note: biologically, men really do have it easier when it comes to staying on task because of how their brains function; however, women have the power and gift of intuition. When a woman learns how to master her intuition with faith along with the skills of staying on task, she is unstoppable). Again why? Well, as you already know, women unfortu-nately, are pulled in so many different directions; running from one activity to another, making every-one else’s needs and wants more of a priority than our own. It becomes difficult to meet our own needs let alone trying to even identify what our needs, wants and desire are. However, taking time to listen to our divine spirit who confidently knows what we desire, require and need to live a full and abundant life (our divine birthright) and then learning how to create a feminine strategic plan that supports our success is necessary in order to step into our becoming outrageously successful in 2014.

Page 10: I AM Enough Magazine January 2014 Issue

Action Step #2 Get Support!

At the beginning of 2013, I had four intentions. I am proud to say that I accomplished three of my four intentions by June. In reflection, I believe the reason why things started to slip a little from July to December was because I didn’t have additional intentions in place. I believe there is a difference between having activities and setting an intention. So, in not having additional intentions to focus on, a few challenges merged to take me deep within my spirit and from there I was able to hear and create my next set of intentions. These intentions for my personal life and business were bigger and better but required a new level of support in order to accomplish them. As I began to get more clarity about each new intention and identify the support needed for each, more opportunities came forth such as participating as a co-author in the “Bold is Beautiful” anthology that became an international best-selling book within 72 hours of its launch. Now how cool is that!

Support can come in many forms. It can come in the form of connecting to your girlfriends on a regular basis and/or identifying a coach, mentor, or therapist. It can also mean participating in a mas-termind group or listening to and reading materials from people you admire and/or consider having the knowledge and wisdom you need to help you move forward. For me, support meant having a combina-tion of the above. I literally participate in and offer all the above and more every week. Doing so has definitely empowered me to another level of outra-geous success in my personal life and especially business. As you know, we weren’t created to be alone. It is in relationship with others that we heal and are magnified to a whole new level of power and truth. For women, research from very presti-gious colleges validates the power of what hap-pens when women come together for the purpose of supporting one another. Statistically, it is said that when women are in support of one another, they are more likely to reach their goals by 80%. Love this!

Action Steps To SuccessAlthough there are several steps I could share to empower you in stepping into your next level of outrageous success in 2014, I am only going to give three significant steps that I utilize every day to help guide me in my transformational and up-leveling process for my personal life and business.

Action Step #1 Deepen Your Spiritual Practices

I am a firm believer that every person is a spiritual being. Meaning, your spirit is the complete, tan-gible, human expression of God (the masculine and feminine side of God combined and working together as one much like the Trinity – body, soul, and spirit). That said, my number one action step to becoming outrageously successful in 2014 is invit-ing every woman to deepen her spiritual practices through spending more time in prayer and medita-tion.

I believe that prayer and meditation ignites and influences our intuition. If women spent more time in prayer and meditation, in addition to increasing their spiritual practices such as journaling, spend-ing time in nature, scheduling time for creative and self-care activities (yes, get that massage, have your mani/pedi done, take a nap, go shopping, etc.) more women would activate a higher level and experience an increase in wealth and abundance in every area of their lives.

As you connect more deeply to your spiritual self (the holder of all your answers) the more confi-dence, inner peace and clarity you will begin to ex-perience giving you direction as to how to deal with your everyday life, relationships, families, finances, and so much more. In addition, as your spiritual self is awakened, activated, and utilized in your decision making process, you will more than likely “show up” in a greater way giving you more power and ability to serve (a woman’s natural tendency) and make a greater impact.

Page 11: I AM Enough Magazine January 2014 Issue

11

One way to transform and renew your mind is to read! Reading books that inspire you, even if just for five (5) minutes, can do wonders in how your brain functions and how you feel and what you think. There is a difference between reading or listening to information to just gaining insight and integrating what you have read or listened to. In A Course in Miracles, it states that “Miracles are natural. When they do not occur, something has gone wrong,” and “Miracles are everyone’s right, but purification is necessary first.” Ultimately, these statements suggest that if you are wanting to experience more in your life, something must “shift” or be realigned in your beliefs, emotions and thoughts in order to experience miracles, an in-crease in wealth and abundance, or step into your next level of outrageous success.

As you begin a new year, this may be the year you will decide to do something different in order to experience something different. It is my hope that these simple, yet powerful action steps, will help and empower you to create new intentions for 2014 and open yourself up to being more, experiencing more and doing more of the things that ignites your heart and soul.

Happy New Year!

Dr. Anita ~ Smooches!

Action Step #3

Be Tranformed By Renewing Your Mind

Did you know that 96-98% of all behaviors are automatic? Setting a goal takes place in the con-scious mind, reaching them is in the subconscious mind. If you are setting goals and not accom-plishing them, more than likely it is because you have some faulty beliefs (or negative neurologi-cal pathways) within your subconscious mind (or brain) that are overriding everything you are trying to do to move forward. Most of our subconscious mind is formed by the age of nine (9) and then strengthened by the time we are 19 years of age. This is where the automation factor comes in. That said, unless you are working on transforming your mindset (beliefs, emotions, thoughts, char-acter and behaviors) you are even now operating and living your life off of old, faulty beliefs and/or false truths. Fortunately, although challenging, our subconscious mind and neurological pathways can be transformed. Some research state that we can change the function of our brains within 30 days. BUT, that is 30 days of constant training and be-havioral modification. Attempt to do this alone and the likelihood is you may not make it passed one week. However, when in an environment that offers continued support, you can notice a BIG differ-ence in your life within 21 days. This is why having a support system in place when you are working toward an intention is so crucial. It took me a very long time to truly understand the benefit and power of this truth.

i Sweet Thing! You… yes, you! You are exactly who I am talking to! Don’t try to hide.

I can see right inside. And it’s beautiful!

You are just absolutely, perfect and beautiful. That’s right; you’re a sight to behold! I am writing a love letter to you because I see you, and because I love you.

You are a divine and perfect creation… even the little things you wish you could change about your-self are perfectly perfect, and perfectly you. And that is why I love you. Just because you are you; you are loved. You need do nothing else but be. You are loved for whoever you are, and however you are identifying yourself ... as always. Even right now; at this very minute.

You may not be feeling all that right now. The hustle and bustle of the holiday season we just went through brings even more stressful demands into our very busy lives, and I too can relate to not feeling especially special during these challenging times. The world spins and we feel out of con-trol… and then we feel stressed… and then over-whelmed… and then… not enough, and sometimes even, not loved.

Hold on, and breathe.Just take a minute for yourself. Stop the insanity around you, even if you have to excuse yourself to the restroom and lock yourself in a stall. Just take a time-out. Give yourself a gift. Allow some

self-nurturing to ease your stress, and take several slow, deep, cleansing breaths. I promise the world will still be there when you are done. Just breathe in gratitude for the things in your life that bring you joy, and breathe out the stresses that wind you up or bring you down. Sit with in the stillness and really acknowledge what is right with your world. Savor and enjoy.

Now, for the Magic! Can you feel this bliss? These feelings of all that is great and good and positive in your world…that is the place you really live. The things you are grateful for are your reality. They exist. You made then happen, or at the very least, you attract-ed them to you with your intention and your vibra-tion. You are living in this magic!

The SecretThe secret to having a sensual, joyful, amazing life is that simple. It’s becoming aware of the magic, the beauty and the bounty of the moment you are in, being aware of it, and grateful for it. This in itself will create more of that in your life. The more joy you feel and acknowledge, the more you will receive… Like attracts like.

Continue focusing on what you want to attract and your experience of day to day stressors will become less and less in your life, simply because you won’t notice them as much, they will not af-fect you. Focus on the reason you are going to the mall in the first place (to purchase a token of love for someone special perhaps), and be in the spirit of that… and you will barely notice that you had to compete for parking.

Becoming youby Ivana siska

Experience Joy and Be Happy NowIf you are like me and most other women, you no doubt have some goals and aspirations on your wish list, which, once attained would make you very happy. Are you with me on this? OK, so why not keep those goals and work towards them? Be they to lose 5 pounds, make more money, find a husband, get along with your kids, etc… choose to be happy now? Don’t wait for someday. Don’t delay your pleasure until that thing on your list is done… be happy and work towards your goals with happiness as a source of fuel along the way.

You are always in the process of Becoming, and you always already Are.Please, I beg you to take stock of your amazing self right now, as you are, for who you are. Yes, you are always changing and evolving, and that is pow-erful truth, but you cannot deny yourself the enjoy-ment of you, until you reach some future milestone. Today is your day. You are already becoming who and what you want to be, because just by you thinking that thought, quantum physics has already made it so. Yes. It’s true… it’s just that our physical manifestations sometimes take a little longer to catch up with the universality of what already exists energetically.

Stay with me on this. If we can step outside of what we think reality is, and move towards the new way of thinking, which is that everything already ex-ists, then why wouldn’t we begin behaving in a way that expresses the joy, the richness, and the won-der of who we are at our most ideal? It would be silly to limit ourselves to just a wee bit of bliss when we could actually live in ecstatic joy and gratitude for all that we are and all that we have. Try it!

I dare you...Start this New Year off with a new awareness of who you really are… how wonderful you really are… how amazing this life of yours really is. Take those feelings and think, act, walk and talk as that person. That way, with every moment, every effort, as you are living, you will be becoming even more you.

Life is not about the end. Life is about the experi-ences we create, the joy we generate in our hearts and in others. Life is a gift, and its greatest joys are the present. I am grateful for this moment and I love you.

Janet Thomas

friend of mine talked to me about an event that she was producing. It would be a big un-

dertaking that might help her establish a non-profit organization. As we talked, she became open to the idea of having a for-profit company rather than a non-profit. Why? Because she started think-ing about what more she could do – how many more people she could serve -- if she made a lot of money.

For starters, she dreamed of building homeless shelters, women’s’ shelters and child develop-ment centers. In literally a blink of an eye, her heart opened like a rose in bloom. She allowed her imagination to soar, taking her to places she normally wouldn’t venture, and her smile got bigger and bigger.

I am not a tax or business consultant, and have no opinion about profit or non-profit companies. What I do love, however, is inviting people to dream. I invite them to dream, and dream big.

Who would have thought that the idea of dreaming could be considered daring? Especially consider-ing that as kids, we did it naturally and effortlessly. As we get older, worldly and more responsible, why does our ability to dream have to take a nose dive?

In my opinion, the word “responsibility” has gotten a bad rap. For me, responsibility simply means response-ability … having the ability to respond. So, when I say, “you are responsible for your life,” it means that you have the ability to respond to your life.

In this regard, dreaming, just like you did when you were little, is a responsible act. When you make real, in your inner world, something you want to be, do or have, you feel good on the inside, become more expansive in your thinking and your inner fire gets some oxygen. When your inner fire gets oxygen, it has the ability to grow. And when your

inner fire grows, you give yourself the possibility of creating more than you imagined before you dared to dream!

In truth, you were born innocent, loving and kind. You were born with a strong imagination intact and in fact a dreamer, effortlessly. What is your secret wish? What do you remember thinking about be-ing, doing or having when you were little? You may not have ever said it out loud, and you don’t have to. Feel free to keep it to yourself, yet give it some acknowledgment. You think about it, so let that be okay.

Dare to dream. Do it today. Give yourself a couple of minutes. Breathe deeply a couple of times, and focus on your breath. Once you focus on your breath, remember a time when you felt really good and really happy. Remember a time when you were at peace. If you don’t remem-ber, imagine what it feels like to feel good, happy and at peace, and feel it now.

From there, recall one of your secret dreams or wishes. Don’t be shy about it; it is your secret any-way. Make it even bigger and brighter and more fun. Make it fun. Stay in the fun of it for as long as you want to. When you are ready, wrap yourself in the good feelings of it before opening your eyes.

It is time to feel better. It is time to take responsibil-ity for your life and reawaken to the magic that is already within you. How does it benefit you? Prac-tically speaking, it lowers blood pressure and raises your optimism. One more second of optimism, by itself, is certainly worth it, and that is just scratching the surface!

Allow your heart to be like that rose in bloom. We need you and your contribution, even if it’s just a bigger smile from time to time.

was always looking for the cure, the answer, the solution to pretty much everything in my life,

outside of me. I thought I needed more education, more training, more information, and more develop-ment in some capacity. What I had never learned was how to find what I was looking for out in the world, inside of me. It was there all along, but I had no access to it. I had no connection to God, I had never learned how to pray, and I had no idea that I was the resource that I was hoping to find.

Eventually I found my way into a community of people who had healed their struggles of searching for these external signs to achieve an internal re-lief. As I learned more and more that I possessed all the inner resources to resolve all of my issues, I began to cultivate the resources I discovered. My journey then became a series of twists and turns to uncover the way that I was meant to help people by using my gifts of healing, compassionate listening, and loving them. I was scared that I would spend my whole life looking for the answers to all my challenges rather than doing the healing required to fulfill my purpose on the planet. I began to feel and accept the reassurance and encouragement of my peers, which taught me to surrender to my new growth rather than force myself to grow. It was this revelation that allowed me to discover my new path into coaching.

An assortment of both wonderful and painful life experiences became the important resources that

finding the gift Withinby Monika Zands

I helped me to develop a deep intuitive listening. I began to hear things that I had previously ignored. My senses were waking up, growing to the next level minute by minute, day by day, and week by week. A flood of information began to pour into my awareness, and I started to share and invite people into my life, my business and my heart.

I learned three important keys through this journey:• Surround yourself with people who have what you want, do what you want, and portray the characteristics and values that you want. In my Spiritual Psychology Master’s program, I sur-rounded myself with the environments and people who emulated everything I wanted. They were the mirrors to the actions, choices, and steps I wanted to take. By spending more time with them, my awareness heightened and I felt surrounded by the support and love I needed to trust my choices and cultivate my gifts.

• Recognize and cultivate the resources you have. When I learned how to heighten my aware-ness and look within myself for my gifts and skills, I was not only able to practice using them, but I began to see things that previously weren’t even on my radar as skills and gifts. For years I had actu-ally disregarded very special qualities that I posses

When you search externally for the answers to your life’s challenges you often forget to trust yourself. It is not

until something or someone comes along, taps you on the shoulder and whispers into your consciousness that you were looking in the wrong place, that you actually have access to finding the gift within. - Monika Zands

because I thought they were things that everyone had. I ignored my way of asking questions, my way of listening, and my way of processing what I heard people share until the day when a mentor asked me if I was aware that I had a very unique way of filtering information and supporting people with positive and proactive feedback. THIS WAS MIND ALTERING!!! It opened my eyes and ears to hearing and seeing many new gifts that had simply been undistinguished.

• Pay your gifts and resources forward. It took some practice to cultivate my gifts and break the habit of taking them for granted or thinking they were not special. Once I learned the skill of owning my gifts, celebrating myself, and loving my unique resources, I was able to help people gain access to their gifts. In the process of helping others, I re-fined and heightened my own. This has been such a fulfilling and surprising process. The best part is how easy it has been once I surrendered to the process of finding my gifts.

I encourage you to begin to trust that.

YOU REALLY DO HAVE UNIQUE GIFTS!

As soon as you realize that, the journey to find-ing them is fun!!! I am happy to help you see your greatness, be your greatness, and most important-ly, pay it forward.

With love and wild encouragement to find your gifts within,

The Art of Becomingby Amy cheryl

ith the New Year, comes a sense of new begin-nings. It is a global tradition of wiping the slate

clean, making a fresh start, creating massive inten-tions of the changes one would like to make in their life. It is the stating of a declaration that, “This is MY year!”

What is so interesting though is that there doesn’t need to be a certain time of the year, or only one time in the year, for us to state these declara-tions. As well, where many fall short is in the follow through. Creating intentions that are realistic and attainable as we stretch and grow is key.

With the theme of the magazine this month being on “The Year of Becoming”, I felt a stirring in me to address how to lay the foundation so that you can come into being. A being that will be aligned with your deepest desires. A being that stays with you and allows you to create solid footing to build upon as opposed to the traditional story of falling astray to the list of New Year’s intentions.

One of the definitions of “becoming” is: “Any process of change”

As the old Einstein saying goes, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

The art of “you becoming” lays the foundation where you let that which does not serve fade away making room for the new you. If you are one of the folks who gets all caught up in the “New Year inten-tions” and then falls off a couple of months in, here are some suggestions to support your process of change.

W

• Create “container” intentions: What I mean by this is what if getting less specific got you more clear in holding the space for you to grow into it?

For example, instead of stating, “I will be a million-aire 6 months from now on or before June 30th, 2014” you changed this to a more expansive in-tention. What if your intention became, “I am in a state of unfailing and lavish abundance with ease and grace; now and always”

Can you feel the difference? Can you feel the spa-ciousness and the support of the latter? Can you feel how it can also relax your system into receiving this instead of pushing to get to a goal?

Can you feel how it holds a bigger container for what is in your highest and best interest? The inter-est of actualizing and manifesting your greatest potential beyond what your mind can think of?

Tip:Our greatest potential lies in our ability to receive. Create intentions that provide the energy where you can relax into them rather than a feeling of “got to go make that happen and now!”

For example, the day I began to change my inten-tion setting around my finances, was the day I invited solid financial support that has continued to grow and build month by month, year by year into a solid foundation to build upon.

Page 19: I AM Enough Magazine January 2014 Issue

Tip: Enjoy the journey, be in the present moment and take step by step actions. This is the only way any-thing ever happens.

So dear sisters, I invite you to relax into allowing. Allow for a way wherein consistency and commit-ment become a way that is of balance and support of all you are becoming each and every day, of your life here on earth.

Amy cheryl

• Be aware of your thoughts, and the ones that gravitate towards past stories or people that don’t serve you in that moment. Instead, feel into what you would like.

It is so interesting that the only constant in life is change, yet it is the greatest thing that humans fear. Until we retrain ourselves to relish in the un-known, in the void and in the constant letting go we will never really make room for new growth.

Tip: Avoid discarding your human condition of this resis-tance to change or deem it as bad, just be aware of it so that it can dissolve and not hold you back anymore.

• Honor your past as it has ALL supported you to become the person you are today and the person you are becoming.

believe that we live in a continuum, with neither beginning nor end, rather we exist in a dynamic

state of change; one where we can decide to trans-form ourselves, our behaviors, habits, and patterns in any given moment.

For many, though, the start of a new calendar year is seen as a time of renewal, a chance to erase the past and embrace new, healthier, habits.

It is a season of paradox; we are torn between in-ternal hibernation and emerging fully into the light. Our attention is split between reflecting upon the past and gazing toward the future.

The alignment of energies in January is such that we are perfectly set up to sow seeds, whether those seeds are ideas, goals, or the popular tradi-tion of setting New Year’s Resolutions.

The ritual of “re-solving” problems is a common practice for many people around the world, and has been for four millennia. Quite possibly it is the allure of the concept of a “clean slate” or “starting over” that has people setting resolutions year after year.

As society begins to awaken to the new energies surrounding them, embracing the concepts of the law of attraction, utilizing affirmations, understand-ing the power of intention, tuning into their life’s purpose, and acknowledging our interconnected-ness, many are including the desire for a more Spiritual existence in their resolutions.

Perhaps one of your New Year’s Resolutions is to develop a Spiritual practice.

But what, precisely, is a Spiritual practice?

While my husband and I were traveling through South East Asia, on the trip of a lifetime, we expe-rienced a very interesting phenomenon during our time in Ubud, Bali.

Interestingly enough, it had been my husband’s intention to have a “Spiritual” experience while

A fresh look at new year’s resolutions - designing your spiritual Journeyby Andréa dykstra

I traveling. Having already traveled the world myself as part of a 15-year Spiritual journey, I had come to understand that one does not have to travel any further than inside of oneself in order to experience Divinity.

By the time we reached Ubud, in month three of our journey, my husband had abandoned his pre-conceived notion of needing to travel to a specific place in order to initiate some type of Spiritual awakening; he, too, understood that above all else it is a journey within.

So it was that we both became aware of this curi-ous sensation playing itself out in all of the alluring cafés in the tourist-town of Ubud.

Women, ranging in age from mid to late thirties to early forties, were seated – alone - at various tables around town.

Each one of these women was dressed in similar yoga-meets-ashram attire, toting a journal and a pen, and, although it was unnecessary in order to identify them, many carried a copy of Elizabeth Gilbert’s book “Eat, Pray, Love.”

As I began to truly observe these women, each with her nose tucked into the book or journal she carried, the occasional hopeful glance around; I began to understand that they were attempting to literally live out Elizabeth Gilbert’s Spiritual journey!

Rather than shaping her own Spiritual path, each of these women was trying to recreate someone else’s journey to God (Spirit, the Divine, Higher Self).

If connecting more deeply with yourself is on your list of goals for this year, it is essential that you cre-ate your own path to your inner wisdom. Spirituality itself looks different for everyone. It doesn’t have to involve, though it frequently does, meditation, yoga, chakra and energy work, silent retreats, prayer beads, chanting, gemstones and other “Spiritual” practices or paraphernalia.

A Spiritual practice can be anything that allows you to feel a deep connection with your God-self.

Page 21: I AM Enough Magazine January 2014 Issue

21

What are ways that I nurture my Spiritual self?

This can be as simple as ensuring that you get enough sleep or creating the time to relax in a bubble bath, or as complicated as going deep within a meditation experience. You may choose to attend a religious service, read popular texts, work with plant medicines, immerse yourself in sound healing, explore Reiki, or any of the multitudes of modalities and experiences available.

Do I have any limiting beliefs surrounding Spirituality?

These can be the product of early religious experi-ences, parental or family influence and condition-ing, judgment from yourself or others, a sense of unworthiness, lack of belief in a “Divine Plan,” educational biases, or even fear of the unknown.

Examine what comes up for you, and investigate what is truth. This will ensure that you develop a Spiritual practice that nurtures you, and helps you to experience deeper levels of connection in your life and relationships.

Now, you have the steps to develop your own Spiritual practice. It is up to you how you incorpo-rate this practice into your daily life.

Andréa dykstra

Painting, hiking, archery, gardening, baking, writing, traveling, music, photography, qigong, meditation; the method is not as important as the depth of the experience.

It is vital to establish a Spiritual practice that works for you. In order to do this, it is necessary to first examine your beliefs about Spirituality.

Your Spiritual Practice Action GuideWhat is that makes me feel more Spiritually connected?

Perhaps it is being in nature, painting, singing, performing on stage, playing with your children, praying, etc. Whatever it is that allows you to ex-ist in the space of compassion, love, gratitude, joy, peace, and any other higher vibrational emotion that leaves you feeling expansive and open, is the answer for you.

Do I feel more energized being around Spiritual communities and groups, or do I prefer to relax into Spirituality on my own?

It is important to honor your preference, without judgment. A Spiritual practice is, above all else, an inward journey. If you feel more connected to your God-self (Divine Self, Universal Consciousness, Higher Power) in solitude then by all means respect that. If, however, you feel more invigorated in your Spiritual journey by sharing in practice with others, then indulge that.

riday, December 20, 2013 will forever hold a very special place in my heart and mind as I

stepped into the role as a published co-author in the International and Best Selling book, “Bold is Beautiful” compiled by Kim Boudreau-Smith, www.Bold-Is-Beautiful.com.

Kim and I first met via Facebook through a mutual friend of ours and since then we have been col-laborating on a few projects with the same heart intention to empower women in their personal life and business endeavors to be more, experience more, and make a bigger impact in the lives of our families and the world.

I have always had a secret desire to write a book. I have even been told by professors, my clients and colleagues that I should write one. Yet it was, in all honesty, just a fantasy, a nice idea in the back of my mind. Never would I have imagined that all the trials, losses, traumas, disappointments, rejections, abandonment, challenges and great successes of my life would serve such a powerful purpose in leading me on my journey to becoming an author allowing me to make a bigger impact in empower-ing women to know they are enough.

Throughout the creating and publishing process, I had several conversations with Kim that often left me feeling so “high” it was hard to focus on any-thing else for the rest of the day. That’s what hap-pens when you surround yourself with like-minded individuals…your faith, energy, and vibration rises. Kim has an infectious personality, a straight for-ward, no non-sense, get it done, type of attitude with a joyous spirit giving you no choice but to say yes to her. In my saying yes to Kim in the form of co-authorship, for myself and I’m sure for the other authors of this amazing collaboration, has and continues to change my life in the most powerful of ways.

Written by dr. Anita M. Jackson

For me, this journey meant shifting - shifting from “I’m not good enough,” to taking my own message of “I Am Enough” to a whole new level of truth and understanding, even within myself. Each revision of my chapter drew me closer to my own awareness of my higher self, my deepest dreams, desires and even fears. It also made me confront the fact that having a chapter in a book meant being truly seen and maybe for the first time. It meant allowing my-self to be visible, seen from a very real and vulner-able place. And now, it means holding true to the fact that I am still very much so a strong, confident, knowledgeable, and successful woman, despite my past. Remember, your past doesn’t define you ~ YOU DO! So, in writing my chapter, again it now means making an even deeper commitment to me first, then the message, and then ultimately to my calling to empower all women to know they are enough too and can follow their dreams.

A Conversation with Kim

I reached out to Kim and asked her a few questions about her book and wanted you to get to know her on a deeper level.

Page 23: I AM Enough Magazine January 2014 Issue

23

Question 1: Kim, you are already an international best-selling author three times over in your books, “Hot Mamas,” “Success in High Heels,” and “The Missing Piece.” Now, you did it again in “Bold Is Beautiful.” Tell us a little bit about your journey as an author.

I am a three time international best-selling author in the books you mentioned and now “Bold Is Beautiful.” The journey for me has been amazing. The collaboration with other like-minded individuals, the life-long relationships formed, and as a business owner, writing books has become an amazing marketing tool for my business. Books have a life long shelf life. There are other areas for business owners to market and sell as well, such as having a radio show. This is one of the fastest growing platforms for any business owner to market and grow globally, getting their voices out there as the expert. I believe in having these tools in place to help us grow our business.

Question 2: Tell our audience the essence and meaning of “Bold Is Beautiful” and can you define BOLD for us?

Every women has bold and beauty in her. I see this in them even before they see it within themselves! Being BOLD means you push the envelope every day with yourself and your business. BOLD is doing the things that no one else can stop, deter or even change your mind. BOLD means not just stepping out of the box; it’s living without a box! BOLD is being YOU no matter what!

Question 3: What core message(s) are you hoping to convey with “Bold Is Beautiful”?

The core message of “Bold is Beautiful” is that is it time for women to come together to support and lift up one another. It’s time to make a difference in the world together and never feel alone again. It’s time to recognize, that for a woman, anything is possible---anything.

Question 4: Because “Bold Is Beautiful” was a collaborative effort of 28 women, I’m sure you have much to say and share about the power of sisterhood and collaboration in such a project as this. Tell us your experience during this whole endeavor and how this can empower women to success in their personal lives and business. Well, it has been amazing to bring these women together to connect and form long lasting relationships in business and in life! It has been incredible to witness what these women have walked through, to press the send button for their chapters’ submission. Their lives will never be the same; International Published Authors! This will put these women on the global map for themselves as well as a group. The bold that has formed among these women has been so endearing to witness and this is what I stand for.

Question 5: With everything you’re doing, what’s next?

Well, I have just launched, Bold Radio Station - A full on Radio Station/Done for You Service for Radio Hosts and I have two more books in the works for 2014. I intend to present and facilitate international workshops around the globe.

Final words

As you can see from my own experience and Kim’s journey that being BOLD is and can be a powerful transforma-tional experience in helping any woman step into her next level of outrageous success. very day I talk to, or interact, in some way with women. Most of these women are busy;

either rightly so or caught up in the trap of being busy. Errands, business, kids, and household re-sponsibilities surround them. They are often fraz-zled, generally walking around with a cell phone in one hand, and a coffee drink of some kind in the other.

Inevitably the topic comes around to food and a wish to be healthier and more vital. I always won-der how this came to be such a difficult thing. Be-ing strong and healthy should be a given; some-thing I want for every woman to embody not an ephemeral or unachievable goal.

Here is what I ask you to do for 2014 and beyond. Act as....

If you were a healthy vibrant woman. Consider what that would look like and feel like? How would that woman eat, walk, and express herself? What would she wear, where would she go, and who would she surround herself with? What physical activities would she do, where would she buy her food?

step into health & vitalityby sharon otness

E At the grocery store, a healthy woman makes the most of her time by walking the perimeter. She knows this is where she will almost always find the fresh fruits and vegetables (can’t go too wrong with the produce section). She selects organic and local varieties as much as possible. This is also where she will be able to get grass fed meats, wild fish, cage free poultry and probiotic and protein rich Greek yogurt - always checking to make sure they are free of antibiotics and additives. She knows to look in the bulk food section for a wide variety of nuts, seeds, oats and quinoa. The only other aisles she will want to check out are those that have beans- both dried and canned, organic soup stock, canned tuna, sardines and salmon as well as spices. She will look for condiments, that are free of sugars and hydrogenated fats, and alter-nate dairy milks like almond and coconut. She also checks out the freezer section for frozen fruits, ber-ries and vegetables which are perfect in smoothies and soups.

Page 25: I AM Enough Magazine January 2014 Issue

A healthy woman checks in with her body. What physical activity is she feeling her body needs for the day? Is it a day that stretching would feel perfect? A more contemplative approach - then a yoga class is what she will decide on. Maybe a walk, or run, outdoors on a beautiful day is talking to her, or music and a beat is taking her feet to a dance class. She knows that switching it up and working with her needs is important to keep exer-cise playful and sustaining.

A healthy woman nurtures her soul. She takes the time to create a space for herself, which I call a sanctuary. A place of contemplation. A place to read, dream, meditate and be. She buys herself fresh flowers, soaks in a bath with essential oils, and pampers her skin with products that are safe enough to eat. This woman knows that taking the time to connect with her soul sisters and family is important for her well-being. She creates boundar-ies to limit time with those that do not serve her.Work, for a healthy woman, is an extension of who she is. She finds meaning in everything she does

(even if some tasks are not a favorite) and loves the work that she is involved in. A healthy woman knows that this work can change thru-out her life and she adjusts her plan accordingly.

Being a healthy, active and vital woman is in your reach. I invite you to just step in and be that woman.

15 Minutes to success recipeby debbie dobbins

he greatest gift I could share with you in 2014 is my 15 Minutes to Success Recipe. This process has

allowed me to travel the world (mostly free), build a six figure+ businesses, sky dive over the Caribbean and eat junk food without gaining weight (kidding about the junk food but wouldn’t you love to do that?)

Committing to this process for just 15 minutes a day for 90 days will give you an Insane Body, Make You a Million Dollars and Create the Relationship of Your Dreams.

Also kidding. Don’t you love it when you get promises like this?

Just as promises like this are not genuine, I promise that if you do nothing different in 2014, your year will look very similar to 2013.

What I can promise you is this: if you fully invest in this process 15 minutes a day for 90 days, your life WILL be transformed in ways you cannot possibly imagine at this moment AND your dreams will begin to reveal them-selves before your very eyes. Is it worth a mere 1,350 minutes, 22.5 hours or less than one day of your life?

If you are leaning towards no, don’t do it and see what happens. If you are leaning towards yes, you are about to change your life completely. FOREVER!

Are you ready?

There is so much emphasis on speed in our modern world. Fast food, fast workouts, even fast rest. We are so busy doing everything fast and furiously so we can get back to the “important” things in our life, we have lost track of what IS important.

Here is a “simple” way to get back on track AND fast track your dreams, create wealth and create abun-dance. Plus it will only take 15 minutes a day.

Caution: Only do this is you are willing to see dramatic changes in yourself and your world.

15 Minutes to Success RecipeDay Dreams Are Not for Kids

Five minutes each day, step into your own time ma-chine. Create a narrative about what you want your life to look like tomorrow, next week, two years from now. Whatever time period you desire. This is your time ma-chine. Choose a new destination time each day.

If you were to step into this time machine, set the dial to whatever day in the future you would like and press “GO”. As you arrive at your destination, write down ex-actly what you see, feel, hear, smell, and touch. Never describe this as what it “will be like” or “what is going to happen”. Describe it and make the telling real enough you can taste the satisfaction, enjoyment, fulfillment and joy in every nuance, every second as you reveal its juiciness. The narrative is always in present time.

The more you feeeeel the passion in every word you write, the more of an energetic vibration you create which draws the experience to you. Science has proven that your mind does not know the difference between your “make-believe” images (which create a magnetic vortex with your passionate feelings) and the “make-be-lieve” negative desires you have been creating for the things you “don’t want”. As you write, feel the energy building within. Here is a sample of what your writing could be:

“You know my husband and I are so thrilled with the travel agent we used who booked this incredible trip to Italy. We’ve wanted to take this trip for years, but never felt like we should spend the money. We just decided it was time to treat ourselves and as soon as we decided we were going, the money came in as if by magic.

From the moment we landed at Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Rome, our entire trip was picture perfect. The first class seats were amazing, the wine they served

T

Page 27: I AM Enough Magazine January 2014 Issue

27

was beyond spectacular and the limo that picked us up was driven by the most incredibly sexy Roman . . . .”

You get the picture. . . you’re feeeeling every phrase, savoring every detail as you go along. Each day create a scene from your trip in your time machine.

Caramelize Your Day Dream

In cooking, caramelizing is a process of heating a sub-stance and making it even sweeter. Thus the next five minutes will do just that.

After you have taken the trip in your time machine, and written down the experience for five minutes, it’s time to heat it up. Nothing creates this sweetness more quickly than stillness.

In the next five minutes of your day, sit in stillness and allow your journal entry to wash over you. As you sit in stillness, allow your body to become limp, relax into al-lowing the vision to become you. Pay attention to each breath in and out and know that the entire five minutes are creating the sweetness of your vision. Think only thoughts of the vision or of your breath. Nothing more, nothing less.

Turn On Your Dream

Have you ever noticed that when you fall in love every-thing seems right with the world? Being in love creates a vibrational frequency that changes mundane flat-lining days into exotic experiences.

There is only one other path to this frequency and that is appreciation. It is profound and the closest thing to universal love that exists. When you are appreciating, you are in harmony with your creative source.

Once again feeling comes into play. It is not about “thinking” appreciation. That does not create the vibra-tion you are looking for. There has to be a surge of sig-nificant emotion flowing upward from the depths of your soul for this to be effective.

The last and final five minutes spend appreciating your life as it is now. Write 10 things you appreciate in your life right now. As you write these things let the energy flow buckets of love, adoration and appreciation for it.

Something as simple as a tree stump, a dying bush, a gust of wind or a mean person you meet in the su-permarket can be on this list. As you appreciate each item, add it on your list and feel the buzz in your body of full out love, gentle sweetness, kindness, empathy or preciousness.

Just let the sensation roll over you as you write your list. As you float on the vibration of this appreciation, you will allow the energy to pull in more of the good into your life. Blast each entry with this energy of love and appre-ciation.

That’s it. Simple right?

If you’re allowing your resistant programming to say things like “too simple”, “yeah right”, “c’mon really”? Just know that I’ve done this for years, had clients do it for years and the results are always the same, INCRED-IBLE!

What have you got to lose? 1,350 minutes?

So let’s begin:

Get crystal clear on your purpose,

yourWhy!Why did you have a family, why do you want to lose weight, change careers or even start a business? So on and so on

with everything.

happy new year…Time for resolutions or noT!by kim Boudreau smith

ere we are again, yet another “New Year.” So did we make resolutions, or not? Truthfully I

don’t believe in resolutions. My first business is a fitness business and this time of the year it is all about how much weight to lose, eat healthy, join a gym, find a new job and so on. However, when we arrive to March, those resolutions are gone…out the window! The fitness facility parking lots are leaner, less cars, and the exercise classes are reduced to normal capacity, no more lines to wait for things. So what happens? I see this every year and then we meet again the following “new year” and start all over. I teach women business owners how to sell like a woman and I am going to teach all of you reading this how to sell yourself out of resolutions and into lifelong commitments. We make commitments, also known as saying yes to a lot of things and people without understanding our “WHY.” We take on GI-ANT steps or commitments and don’t really under-stand what or why we are doing this; so we fade out, or just don’t show up. We bust our commitment to ourselves and let others down. Sound familiar? What to do? Simple? Yes, simple.

We cannot sell to ourselves, or to anyone else, when we don’t believe in what we stand for. We lose sight, live in a tsunami and our vision is con-stantly unclear!

H

Work on your Confidence

going! Plan this with a lifelong intention, your purpose, your why. If you do not than

these desires will not last long.

kim Boudreau smith

If you want to lose weight for an occasion like a son or daughter’s wedding that is great, however, what then after the wedding? I am not saying that it is not a great goal, but your desires must be much deeper than that. What is the purpose of your children’s soccer games, piano lesson, dance lessons and so on? Is this to keep them active or is this for possible scholarships? This can be for short term or long term. Do you see what I mean? What is the meaning, your why to life?

If we don’t sell to ourselves, and service our be-ings, who will? And how can you, as a business owner, possibly sell to others? You see, if we don’t sell ourselves, and our businesses, than we are not serving or providing to others. You never know who is seeking YOU! Not everyone will be on board with your desires, however, there are the ones that will be and those are the like-minded people you want to surround yourself with. Build the relationships for support of one another.

Selling yourself to a resolution is short term, how-ever, believing in yourself for your desired life is long term. Yes there will be mistakes along the way, but that is so minuscule compared to a life of joy and success.

So here is to a New Year and ever ongoing of a new and evolving YOU!

ur Great Spirit makes magical changes and magical changes happen because of our

great spirit.

All people are spirit beings, the difference is in how much each person taps into that spirit and honors that spirit. Your spirit represents your whole be-ing. Your spirit can include many aspects of what makes you uniquely you but the most important part of your spirit is the simple fact that your spirit honors the whole you, the holistic you, the you that includes your body, your mind and your soul. Your spirit is the real person inside of you.

Your spirit, the real person inside of you, is some-times screaming to get out because she is so excit-ed about all of life’s amazing possibilities. However, the spirit inside of you may also be the little girl cowering in the corner. This little girl may be afraid of what will happen if she shows her true heart’s desire, she may even be afraid of that desire or she may not know what that desire is.

You must allow your true spirit to shine the amaz-ing light that it is meant to. With this light you can achieve all of your heart’s desire, follow the path that you are meant to, live the life that truly reso-nates with you and allow your heart to sing with joy.

Let us all find the song. 1. Don’t try for goals. Manifest goals.

Own the goals. Achieve the goals. Success is yours!

The word “try” indicates someone who is unsure of their chances of success. Think long and hard about what you truly wish to achieve. Consider how you can best work towards the success of achievement. Manifest your intention. Make cer-tain that the steps necessary are clear in your mind and easily understood. In this way you can obtain.

2. Write down these steps.According to Dave Ramsey, 81% of wealthy people maintain a “To Do” list and 67% of wealthy people write down their goals. I highly recommend both of these practices. I have various types of lists all with a great deal of commonality while covering the scope that is needed for my success.

The great spiritby Elise cohen ho

o

• None of them are named “To Do.” These impor-tant lists have a much better name. They are called “To Accomplish.” This simple change in terminology gives what may simply be a list of mundane activi-ties a much more positive spin.

• I maintain short term and long term “To Accom-plish” lists. • For my home, each family member is given a “Daily Top Ten” which in reality is a list of chores that need to be taken care of in order for our house to run smoothly. They include items like make your bed, carry down dirty laundry, wash dishes, and “check in with Mom and Dad to see if they need help with anything.”

• Every “To Accomplish” list has ten items. I like the number, there are enough things listed to make se-rious headway but not too many that it seems like it will take forever. I make similar lists for myself for daily work tasks.

• If something is not complete than it goes to the number one slot for the next day.

• In addition to these daily lists, I also maintain a monthly “Top Ten.” These are a little broader in spectrum such as redo website, finish garden, work on detox/weight loss program for publication, con-tinue forward progress on writing new cookbook, etc.

• I use my monthly list to help focus my daily list on achieving goals.

Is it time with family? Have you been able to spend the high quality time with them that you crave? If not, then this needs to be attended to. Perhaps you need to prioritize your weeks and days a bit differently. Maybe it is as simple as prioritizing the hours in the day. Is time spent wasted on unneces-sary tasks and unfulfilling pursuits? Let it go and embrace the love that surrounds you.

Are you religious in nature but forgetting to em-brace that side of you? We must embrace our en-tire core being in order to live the life that we were meant to.

Perhaps religion, in the traditional sense, is not something that is on your radar at all. This does not make you any less spiritual, and should also be fully embraced.

Own your beliefs, own your calling, and own your intentions. Make the time for all that truly nourishes your body, mind and spirit while cutting away all that does not allow for you to live the life that truly resonates with you. Remember that true beauty happens when we get out of our comfort zone.

Allow your true spirit, THE GREAT SPIRIT, inside of you to be the woman who screams to get out, is not afraid, is proud of all she is, and is manifesting her future as she lives a glorious life.

Happy 2014. Let us all step into the “Year of Becoming.”

3. Binge and Purge, Binge and Purge ... some people do not belong in your life so BUH-BYE!

It may sound harsh, but it is true. If someone does not treat you the way you deserve to be treated then respect yourself enough to not allow them in your life anymore. Protect your spirit or these people will work very diligently to ruin your spirit. People who do not embrace your hopes, dreams and desires are often more interested in how you can help them. This does not allow for a mutu-ally beneficial relationship but rather a relationship that is very much one sided and will deplete your energy source. In no way, does this mean that you should not listen to constructive criticism, but rather, it means that the criticism needs to actually be constructive and should also include love and support. It is all about loving yourself the way you deserve to be loved.

4. Create a vision board.

A vision board will help you to put a true solid im-age in your mind for what you really want and it fulfills the idea of “If you can see it than you will achieve it”.

Add anything to the vision board that resonates with you. Some folks put tons of pictures of super-models, others will place photos of trips they wish to take, business goals or pictures of clothing. You can see some samples, tips and ideas by visiting me on Pinterest. There is nothing that you can put on this board that would be considered wrong. This board is about you, and only you, add all items that resonate with your heart and soul. Simply cut, paste and then hang your board somewhere where you will see it every day.

5. Reflect on what is important to you.

What is it that will make you feel like you are liv-ing the life that you were intended to live? Are you embracing this? Are you doing all that is necessary to nourish this idea of you?

Elise cohen ho, naturally yours

Plan for a 40 minute bath.• Fill your clean* tub with comfortably hot water. A chlorine filter would be an added benefit.

• Add 1/2 c. Bentonite Clay to 1 c. hot water stirring with a non metal spoon until clumps are removed. Add this to the bath. The clay has been shown to assist in the absorption of the chemicals found in your water so that they do not absorb into your skin.

• Add 2 cups of Epsom salts (aka magnesium sulfate). Epsom salt can be purchased at most retailers and is very inexpensive. Epsom Salt has been shown to help replenish magnesium levels, help with hypertension and flush toxins. It may also help with detoxifying poisons, additives, excess estrogen and other hormones from the body.

Detoxifying Clay-Herbal Bath

*Cleaning products should be the most natural as possible. You should not get into a bath that is still wet with cleaning product.

For tips on cleaning naturally please visit me at http://www.elisecohenho.com/

• Mix the water around and gently lower yourself in.

• A twenty minute bath will allow for detoxification whereas a 40 minute bath has been shown to assist the body with the absorption of beneficial minerals.

• Repeat one to two times per week.

• Add 2 cups of Baking Soda (a.k.a. sodium bicarbonate). Be certain that you are purchasing pure baking soda which can be found in the baking aisle of your grocery store. Baking soda has been found to be antifungal, alkalizing and generally leaves skin soft. It may also help with soaking away aches and pains.

• Add 10-20 drops Ginger essential oil to aid with detoxification, digestion and the clearing of congestion.

• Add 10-20 drops Lemon essential oil to help detoxification of the internal organs.

• Add 10-20 drops Rosemary essential oil to aid in detoxification of the liver and lymphatic system.
