Handwashing Wash your hands thoroughly with water and mild soap or hand cleansers to ensure they are completely clean. You should wash your hands when they are dirty, after visiting the toilet, before cooking or handling food, and before eating.

Hand disinfection Use hand disinfection products on dry and not visibly dirty hands. Soap and hand disinfection combined is a very effective way of avoiding the spread of bacteria and viruses. You can use our hand disinfectants when you do not have access to soap and water.

Skin care Regularly apply a good and restorative skin care cream, preferably both before, during and after work. Healthy and supple skin prevents skin problems and eases the cleaning of the skin after work.

Hand cleansers

PlumWipes

We have developed a range of hand cleansers that effectively remove all kinds of grime. The products contain corn cob granules, which act as a natural and biodegradable abrasive.

All our hand cleaning products also contain glycerine, which replenishes moisture and prevents skin from drying out. Keep in mind that these products should be used on wet hands.

PlumWipes effectively clean soiled hands, surfaces and tools. Ideal for when you have no access to soap and water.

PlumWipes can be placed in the corresponding wall dispenser.

Hand soapsTo keep skin healthy, it must be kept clean – every day. Skin cleaning and frequent handwashing can damage the skin, so it is important to choose a mild and skin-friendly soap. All our soaps have a pH value close to the skin's natural levels and contain ingredients with a regenerating effect that minimise skin drying.

Hand disinfectantsHands are the biggest source of infection spread and there is a clear correlation between lack of hand hygiene and increased risk of infection. Good and proper hand hygiene significantly reduces this risk.

Plum hand disinfection products are alcohol-based and contain 85% ethanol. They are denatured with IPA and contain glycerine, which prevents the skin from drying out. Hand dis-infectants should be applied on clean and dry hands, and the hands should be wet for 30 seconds for optimum effect. For surgical hand disinfection, keep your hands wet for 2 minutes.

All Plum hand disinfection products comply with the National Infection Hygiene Guidelines (NIR), are approved under appli-cable legislation and are assessed as suitable by the Central Unit for Infection Hygiene (CEI).

Skin care creamsHealthy and supple skin lasts longer. By using a skin care lotion, you support your skin’s natural barrier function, which protects it from infection and drying out. Water and soap dissolve this barrier and tend to leave the skin dry. Therefore, if you wash your hands frequently or work in cold or wet environments, you should lubricate your hands with

Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces

Good hygiene and the regular cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces prevent and reduce the spread of infection. Every surface is different and do not withstand the same kinds of disinfectants. That is why we offer different types of surface disinfectants in our product range, in the form of wet wipes and liquid disinfectants.

NIR and CEI recommend that cleaning and disinfection are performed as two separate procedures. When disinfecting, the surface must be kept moist for as long as the contact time indicated on the product. To protect your hands, we recommend using gloves according to EN 374.
