Hydrolink HFPS fluid purifier units are easy to operate, self contained systems that will:

Remove free, dissolved and emulsified water. Remove free and dissolved gases. Remove particulate contamination over 3micron. Reduce equipment / system downtimes. Reduce component failures. Reduce fluid changes. Increase equipment reliability and productivity.

Effects of Water Contamination

Water is one of the most common fluid contaminants, and the most destructive after particulate contamination, causing:

Fluid breakdown. Additive depletion. Reduction of lubrication properties. Oil oxidation. Internal corrosion. Abrasive wear in system components. Reduced dielectric strength.

Principle

Hydrolink Fluid Purifier Units employ a modified version of the vacuum evaporation with inert gas dehydration technique, using dry air in place of the inert gas. A desiccant air dryer is used to dry the inert gas and increase purifier efficiency, even in high humidity environments. In contrast to the standard vacuum evaporation process, this technique can achieve residual water levels below the saturation level of the fluid being processed.

Operation

Contaminated fluid is drawn into the unit under a vacuum of up to 0.9 bars, passing through a heater to raise its temperature and increase filtration speed. It then enters a vacuum tower where it cascades over dispersal elements to break it down into droplets, thus increasing the surface area.

The water is vaporized and drawn off through the vacuum pump and a condenser to the drainage reservoir.

The treated fluid is pumped from the tower by a hydraulic pump and passed through a high efficiency particulate removal filter before being returned to the system. An installed water sensor allows permanent control of the saturation of the fluid.

Technology

The HFPS systems are fully automated, PLC- controlled units. The WSPS 03 water sensor, in conjunction with the WFD 01 display unit, allows permanent monitoring of the water level in the purified fluid, and the VS1 Delta P sensor allows optimal scheduling of filter replacement.

The Hydrolink skid mounted, self-contained, non-fired Nitrogen Pumping Unit is a diesel-driven high pressure nitrogen pump for use in applications such as pipeline drying, nitrogen charging and leak testing. This high specification product utilizes modern cryogenic technologies and materials, and has many special features to facilitate operation and enhance safety in the field. Incorporating both fork-lift portability and a rugged 4-point lifting frame, these pumps are suitable for both onshore and offshore environments. Units can be supplied in either “zoned” or “non-zoned” specifications.

The Hydrolink Offshore Jetting & Testing Unit combines the functions of high pressure water jetting and hydrostatic testing in one compact package. Based on Hydrolink’s well proven electric drive high pressure pump units, it has been designed specifically for offshore use. The unit has separate facilities for jetting and hydrostatic testing, and incorporates a chart recorder to document test results. It features an explosion-proof drive motor and controls and is packaged in a robust crash frame with 4-point lift.

Hydrolink hydraulic power packs are very low noise, compact units. Designed for a maximum operating pressure of 400 bar at maximum pump volume, standard units include a separate filter/cooler circuit, easy access for maintenance, a proportional control system, safety interlocks on oil level and temperature, and tanks designed to BS 6525:1984.

Where applications dictate, these units can be supplied with stainless steel or aluminum tanks, suitable components for water-glycol systems, a tank heater, air-cooled or water-cooled external coolers, accumulators and in-built umbilicals for hydraulic tools. Options include zone-rated and diesel driven units, and 3rd Party certification can be provided.
