A description Hydrogen fuel cells are a kind of energy source that do not

contaminate the world, and it is a renewable source. His form of energy is chemical This kind of energy can be settled in whatever place in Ecuador but

the better place I think it must be in Quito or Guayaquil because it has a lot people and are the places with more money.

This type of energy need hydrogen and oxygen and the excess of hydrogen it is for reused and oxygen becomes water and they get together and join to transform energy.

A fuel cell combines hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity, heat, and water. Fuel cells are often compared to batteries. Both convert the energy produced by a chemical reaction into electric power.

history

Today the world have a lot of advanced technology and fuel cells are a source of energy really advanced, the process in which fuel cells are made is known to science for more than 100 years.

He mixed hydrogen and oxygen in the presence of an electrolyte, and produced electricity and water.

The first fuel cell created was invented by William Robert Grove in 1839, only 39 years after Alessandro Volto invented the battery (it is another kind of cell).

the materials that Grove used were unstable. In the 1960s the fuel cells were revived for use on space flights, Because fuel cells are quiet, reliable, clean, and produce water.

the NASA use fuels cells cause is a ideal supply of both power and drinking water for the astronauts.

Where and how the energy source is used today

This energy source is used in some types of cars replacing the normal gasoline and making not pollution to the world around us.

Where the energy source is found and how it is recovered/harnessed

It is found or it work with hydrogen and oxygen.A fuel cell comprises hydrogen absorbing tank that

is adapted for the storing of the hydrogen discharged from a fuel cell.

The primary hydrogen tank and the secondary hydrogen tank are provided so the heat can be exchanged between each other.

hydrogen that is supplied to a fuel cell is supplied to the secondary hydrogen tank, so the primary hydrogen tank is heated by hydrogen heat and then generated when the hydrogen is absorbed.

How energy is stored in the source and how the energy is released

This energy is stored in a box after the water and hydrogen make energy.

Hydrogen can be stored until it's needed, it will always be a little bit if you needed.

But it is difficult to contain

Advantages

Fuel cells can be used to produce power for a electric motor, as producing electricity instead of a generator. It facilitate the replacement of a gasoline or diesel.

fuel cell produces no greenhouse gases or other air pollutants. The chemical reaction is only water and a small amount of heat The production of hydrogen may involve some pollutants, but these are far

less than what is produced in combustion Fuel is a material that exist today, it poses few issues of energy and national

security, unlike the petroleum. The fuel cell has a process that is completely silent. Other renewable energy sources have some of the advantages of the fuel cell,

but most are not as flexible and portable. Even with recent advances, direct use of solar power is still inefficient when it

is compared to fuel cells.

Disadvantages

The widespread use of fuel cells in the storage and distribution of the hydrogen fuel.

Hydrogen gas is difficult to contain, and most methods add considerable weight to a vehicle.

Transporting and dispensing the gas also require new and advance methods.

The operation of cells in very very cold weather is a huge problem, cause water is always present in and around the cell.

It is expenseive

Economic impacts of the energy source (to the consumer and to the Government);

Hydrogen fuel cells are really expensive so this type of energy is not located in ecuadro or some parts of the world.

Environmental impacts

Get better, no more pollution contamination in cars.

Better air

Hydrogen fuel cells in the Future

This energy is really great we can use in cars and do not get pollution, if we increased and make it more powerful we must have perfect cars and even get to give electricity to an entire town.

In the future hydrogen could also get to join electricity. An it most give moves and delivers energy in many forms to consumers.

Hydrogen can also be transported (like electricity) to locations where it is needed.
