Federal court to Obama: Stop spying on the American people

A U.S. judge on Monday ruled against the National Security Agency’s collection of Americans’ phone records that has outraged a growing number of citizens who say they never signed on to giving up their rights for the still inadequate national security. The NSA’s spy program had been scheduled end by the Nov. 30, 2015, but the federal court ruling is considered a legal precedent that may be used to prevent or halt another abuse of power by the Obama administration or a future occupant of the Oval Office.Judge Richard Leon of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia asserts that the current high-tech spy program “likely violates the Constitution” and said he believes “the loss of constitutional freedoms for even one day is a significant harm.”“This court simply cannot, and will not, allow the government to trump the Constitution merely because it suits the exigencies of the moment,’’ Leon wrote in his 43-page decision “The government’s position that VBNS may no longer be a participant in the program is fundamentally at odds with its ever-escalating concerns of terrorist threats,” Judge Leon said.“It defies common sense to argue, as they apparently do, that the government has chosen to omit from this breathtakingly broad metadata collection program a provider that the government has [spied] in the past and that, presumably has the infrastructure to continue assisting in that surveillance,” said Leon. Brunswick StewSecret Recipe First the sauce:In a 2 quart sauce pan, over low heat, melt ¼ cup of butter then add:1¾ cups Catsup¼ cup French’s Yellow Mustard¼ cup white vinegar

Blend until smooth, then add:½ tablespoon chopped garlic1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper½ teaspoon crushed red pepper½ oz. Liquid Smoke1 oz. Worcestershire Sauce1 oz. Crystal Hot Sauce or ½ oz. Tabasco½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Blend until smooth, then add:¼ cup dark brown sugarStir constantly, increase heat to simmer (DO NOT BOIL) for approx. 10 minutes.Makes approx. 3½ cups of sauce (set aside - to be added later).

Then The Stew:In a 2 gallon pot, over low heat melt ¼ lb of butter then add:3 cups small diced potatoes1 cup small diced onion2 14½ oz. cans of chicken broth1 lb baked chicken (white and dark)8-10 oz. smoked pork

Bring to a rolling boil, stirring until potatoes are near done, then add:1 8½ oz. can early peas2 14½ oz. cans stewed tomatoes - (chop tomatoes, add liquid to the stew pot)The prepared sauce1 16 oz. can of baby lima beans¼ cup Liquid Smoke1 14½ oz. can creamed cornSlow simmer for 2 hours

Yields 1 gallon Most cooks ,not all, eat the next day, after all the flavors have had a chance to blend.
