1 HUR NATURAL TRANSMISSION

HUR equipment is designed for natural muscle exercise and for establishment and improvement of muscle tone. HUR has developed a mechanism where the load changes with the trajectory, mimicking the human body’s own biomechanics. During exercise, muscle strength is at its highest mid-movement and lowest at the beginning and at the end of the movement. Incorrect or excessive exercise can cause muscle injury. This is taken into account in the HUR exercise equipment design. Thanks to use of compressed air, the resistance changes smoothly, accu-rately and safely. This allows the equipment to function in an optimal way for the muscles, during both slow and fast movements. The equipment cylinders and lever arms’ resistance is at its greatest when the muscle is aiming for maxi-mum power. With HUR exercise equipment your muscles do the work, reducing the wear and tear on joints and connective tissue. This mechanism optimizes the use of muscle power and reduces the possibility of exercising in a wrong way. The biggest problem with traditional weight stack machines is the weight stack’s inertia. At the beginning of the exercise movement, extra power is required to move a weight stack. At the end of the movement, the resistance lightens as the weight stack continues to move before it changes direction. This can cause undue stress on the joints and connective tissues, especially for people who are not used to this kind of muscles. The human body is composed of muscles that work in pairs. When the flexor muscle flexes, the opposite extensor extends. HUR has designed dual function equipment, so that all muscle groups are exercised. All of these factors combined ensure a safe, relaxed and comfortable workout. A natural way to exercise!

2.3 Compositions and important information of using HUR Pulley

HUR Pulley is available with two different cylinder sizes: the maximum load of 8830/8831 Pulley is 30 kg per rope, and of 8820/8821 Pulley Light 20 kg per rope. There is no difference in the looks of the two Pul-leys. HUR Pulleys are available either with Pulley wall mount (8820/8830), when the machine is fastened to the wall by bolts; or with Pulley floor mount legs (8821/8831), when it is possible to attach and place the ma-chine even in the center of the floor. (NOTE! 8821 / 8831 pulleys shall be fixed to floor to ensure stability.) Other HUR Pulley compositions and accessories are introduced in the chapter 5. Depending on the composition the dimensions (see Technical data) may vary. That should be taken into account in placing the machine and determining the zones of usage and safety.

2.4 Installation

HUR recommends that the installation of HUR Pulleys is performed by authorized HUR technician. In that case the reliability of the installation will be reached. HUR technician has all needed tools and in-structions for installation and also has knowledge of all special characteristics of each machine. HUR devices are designed only for inside use. Devices must not get wet and it’s recommendable to avoid moisture. All models with electronic components should be left to acclimate to room temperature for about an hour before installing or operating, if the transportation or storage has been in a cold place. Equipment should be placed on a hard, flat and straight surface. To avoid malfunction, keep the unit in a dry place and at constant temperature protected from dust.

WARNING! Floor mounted equipment shall be installed on a stable and levelled base.

Hur Pulley floor mounted models 8831, ST8831 MUST BE ATTACHED TO FLOOR.

2.5 Adjusting Pulley

Pull the orange handle located on the side of the cable column and adjust the height by moving the cable column up or down. Make sure that the cable column is properly locked.

WARNING! Make sure that the rod of the handle slides properly back inside to its slot

after adjusting the cable column. Otherwise, the cable column may move and cause a dangerous situation. If you need the support handles, pull the orange han-dle next to the frame and adjust the handles to desired level. Make sure that the rod of the handle slides back to its slot.

Choose a bar, a grip or a strap and attach it to the cable end by quick access fastener.

2.6 Exercising with Pulley

Pulley is created for variety of lower, mid and upper body exercises. The device comes with instructions for the most common exercises, and these illustrated instructions are recommended to be placed in a promi-nent location near equipment. More instruction for exercising with HUR Pulley is on a video ’HUR Pulley – Functional Trainer’. https://youtu.be/Hpa9B4FTZhk In addition to general introduction, 17 basic exercises for lower, mid and upper body are shown. HUR Pulley is designed and intended for exercising muscles and strength. With standard equipment, a pair of hand grips and a leg strap, it’s possible to exercise muscles of, for example, arms, legs and upper body. With Pulley accessories it is possible to make exercising more comprehensive. Popular Pulley accessories are, for example, Pulley rowing bench, triceps and pull-down grips and straps. They make it easy to target different parts of body and special muscles. Remarkable is that HUR Pulley can be used by wheelchair-users, too.

NOTE!

HUR products are designed and intended for gym, health club and rehabilitation use only. HUR product shall be used only in their designed and intended use. Incorrect use may result in personal injury and equipment damage. Incorrect use may remove the manufacturer's responsibility and void the warranty. Incorrect use means all actions that are against the intended use of HUR products, and all actions against or failure to follow instructions in this User Manual. To avoid injuries and damages, pay attention to following:

Do not pull the ropes too far to the side (max. 45°/90°), because the rope may stuck between the rollers.

Support handles are intended to give support. They shall not be used for dipping, climbing or carry-ing the machine.

Avoid yanks and other fast movements when exercising with low resistance. The cylinder that cre-ates the resistance does not accommodate with fast movements and the ropes may jump out of the rollers.

If there’s pressure in the device, the ropes should not be pulled out and let off abruptly, because the pressure pulls the rope back to the device and that can cause the rollers break if, for example, a bar or a grip hits them hard.

WARNING! Incorrect or excessive exercising might damage your health.
