  • Executive Pastors Words

May your Kingdom come and what you want be done, here on earth as it is in heaven Matthew 6:10 NCV

Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this? Esther 4:14b NKJV

    Hello beautiful Kingdom Women,

Have you ever wondered to yourself why am I here? Even if youve never uttered those exact words, you may have felt a nagging or gnawing in your spirit that there has to be more to my life than what Im experiencing. Maybe you are in a new season in your life by choice or circumstance and you are wondering now what? Well, let me tell you, if this were a form that I had to fill out, I would have checked all of the above...lol! However, no matter where you are, I have good news! Here and Now is the perfect time for you to explore, expand and expect. As women we often are too busy trying to heal or help someone else, and before we know it, we think life has passed us by or we are stuck waiting for someone to rescue us. During Kingdom Womens Month, I encourage you to get out and try something new, challenge yourself. Go outside of your comfort zone and explore. Expand your thinking, unlearn ideas that havent served you well, and learn something new. Expect something good or better yet, great to happen in your life! The unlimited power of God is available to you so maximize your life by using every lesson learned and gift you possess that God has given you to create prosperity for you, your family and the community. Dont just quote history....make history! For who knows, that may be the very reason you are here...right now. See you when the women gather, because when the women gather something amazing happens!

    Living in Kingdom Authority,

Rev. Kellie V. HayesLets Pray a Hedge of Protection Around Our Executive Pastor

Father, I thank You that my executive pastor is always persistent and in hot pursuit of more of Your presence, to know You more and more each day. Even as the deer pants for the water, I pray that my executive pastor longs after You. May she have a desire to seek knowledge, and as she seeks knowledge give her not only information but also revelation of divine truth like never before. I thank You, that Rev. Kellie will never become satisfied with her present level of success and achievement but rather use it as a stepping-stone to go into her next level and next wealthy place. Your Word says, Let not the wise glory in their wisdom, neither let the rich glory in their riches, but let them that glories glory in this; that [she] knows and understands Me. Thank You Father that my executive pastor is always being promoted and entrusted with more because of the faithfulness she has demonstrated at the present level. I declare that she is consistently growing in new levels of faith, power and authority. In Jesus Name, Amen. (Prayer from Deborah L. Grants Have You Prayed For Your Pastor Lately?)

Thats Too Clean! Matthew 12:44-45 (NIV) By Rev. Kimberly Anne Giles

Monthly Meditation:Practicing Stillness By Rev. Jennifer GillyardPsalms 46:10 (KJV): Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen,

I will be exalted in the earth.Psalms 138:8a (KJV): The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me.

The psalmist in both of these scriptures is highlighting a word that many of us experience on a daily basis: concern. However, in a state of concern, the psalmist calls the reader to be still and know. Know what? Know that God will perfect those things that concern you. Now concern and slow are two words that I would rarely use in the same sentence because the action of slowness appears to be in contradiction to heightened alertness brought upon by the word concern; if I am uneasy, passionate or concerned about an issue I am not slow yet swift to addressing or advocating for it. But it is in the month of March that thesetwo words contend with each other as we go through the season of Lent, followed by Passion Week as we acknowledge the suffering of Jesus Christ for the love of humanity, followed by the Easter Celebration reminding us of the hope and promise of a renewed life and relationship with God in spite of the sufferings we would face. What a month of emotion! It is through Jesus trajectory towards the cross that we receive insight into how to be still amidst concern. In other words, how to not react with hopelessness, act on anger, or disengage from the process of life when concerns of bills, illness, joblessness, homelessness, warsand famine, death and loneliness are not easily or swiftly solvable using our own judgment. Like Jesus demonstrated before facing death by crucifixion, he gave the concern to God in prayer resulting in a stilled mind and renewed focus.

In slowing down, you permit your mind to become still and refocus on what is truly a priority in your life; you permit your mind to become still enough to see your true state of affairs, and to be triggered by the whispers of God for purpose and direction that may come through an interaction, reading a book or listening to a lyric. Today, practice confidence in God by practicing stillness.

Spring is right around the corner and many of us may do some spring cleaning. While we are cleaning up and cleaning out our houses let us not throw everything out. We are inspired through the scripture passage coming from Matthew 12:44-45, to clean out our spiritual houses and to not make them too clean. In this passage Jesus teaches about how an impure spirit leaves out of a person, and seeks another place to rest, but because the impure spirit didnt find a place it returned to the place it came from only to find that it was unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. While having everything put in order sounds like an ideal way of organizing ones house this way is not ideal for our spiritual houses. The impure spirit returned to the person it left and returned with seven more wicked spirits because the house was too clean. A spiritual house that is too clean is one that does not have any evidence of the presence of God residing in it. Yes, do your spring cleaning, clean out your house but dont make it too clean! Make sure the presence of the Lord still has a place in your house. For our new partners we have two foundational classes to help you start your journey in your new church home as well as with Christ Jesus. It is very important for you to please complete New Members Orientation and the Kingdom People Beginning the Journey Classes. If you have not attended either of those classes, please attend the session on Sunday, March 13th or 20th, from 8:45 am - 9:45 am. Please confirm your attendance to the session by calling Rev. Highsmith at the church office at (301) 735-5761 so that she can prepare for you.

HEALTHY, WEALTHY, & WISE: March is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness MonthThe most common neurological disorder diagnosed in young adults, multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. This disorder damages or destroys the protective covering (known as myelin) surrounding the nerves, causing reduced communication between the brain and nerve pathways. Common symptoms include visual problems, overwhelming fatigue, difficulty with balance and coordination, and various levels of impaired mobility. MS is not contagious or fatal. If you know anyone living with this disease, you know that MS affects more than your body and mind; it can affect your finances, your relationships, your career, even your independence. If the challenges of managing a disease like MS go beyond the symptoms you experience, then the management of your disease must go beyond the walls of your neurologists office. This years National Multiple Sclerosis Education & Awareness Month theme, Beyond MS, represents an effort to help you recognize barriers to enjoying your best quality of life and learn how to move past them.

With help and determination, you can overcome many of the obstacles MS creates. Together, lets break through those barriers and move Beyond MS.
