Rapid mass movementThere are four essential types of rapid mass

movement.Rock falls- a group of loose rocks that fall

down a steep slope. Landslides- the sudden movement of loose

rocksMudslides- the flow of a mass of mud or rock

and soil mixed with a large amount of water.Lahars are massive and dangerous

mudflows made from volcanic origin

Creep is a form of slow mass movement.Creep is the flow downhill movement of

weathered rock material

Describe three types of gravitational erosion.

Landslides are a sudden movement of rock and soil down a steep slope. Mudflows are the sudden movement of a large mass of mud. Creeps are slow movement of soil down a slope.

What is slow mass movement and what is rapid mass movement?

Rapid mass movement is a very destructive and sudden type of rock or soil movement. Slow mass movement move so slowly you don’t notice it and continues over time.
