What We Do

What is Augmented Reality? •  Augmented Reality is a term describing content that blends the real

world and virtual elements.

•  It creates a view of the real world environment whose elements are

augmented by computer generated graphics.

•  Augmented Reality couples with the GPS and compass on a

smartphone or tablet, to overlay information, images, videos on a

device’s live camera feed. It can also augment something with audio.

Examples •  Google Glass - Adds an overhead user interface through a small

screen mounted on the glasses frame above your eye.

•  Football - In most modern televised football games, the line of scrimmage is highlighted in yellow. This is a form of Augmented Reality.

Geo-Fencing •  Geo-fencing (geofencing) is a feature in a software program that uses

the global positioning system (GPS) or radio frequency identification (RFID) to define geographical boundaries. A geofence is a virtual barrier.

•  Example: A location-based mobile service that allows marketers to send messages to smartphone users when they enter a defined geographic area, such as a shopping mall.
