HUNT THREE of the BIG FIVE IN SOUTH AFRICA Click for more Photos
Situated in the heart of the Eastern Cape, South Africa,
set against a beautiful landscape, the Hunter has an
opportunity for classic African Adventure,
experiencing the essence of 5 Star African luxury in a
Malaria-free Game Reserve. This reserve is home to
three of Africa's BIG 5- Lion and Rhino and Buffalo.
Its land stretches over an area of 60,000 acres and
offers guests the ultimate hunting experience. In this
diverse and very private environment the largest
variety of Game Species in the world exists to tempt
the hunter.
The area abounds with Black and White
Rhino, Lion, Buffalo, Sable, Roan, as well as a large
variety of all the Plains Game and African Exotics. A
Total Number of over 40 Species is offered
There are excellent opportunities of taking at
least three of the big five, along with an array of
quality plains game, like Giraffe, Zebra, Lechwe,
Eland, Kudu, Sable, Roan, Waterbuck, Bontebok,
among others. A wide variety of the specialized
African Exotics, which constitutes an exciting and challenging hunt, is also on offer to the hunter.
This is a true hunting experience in the Eastern Cape Karoo region of South Africa, while at the same time affording guests
a safe, pampered and educational journey that will never be forgotten. This family-run operation is committed to protecting their
natural resources, their future livelihood and all their wildlife to ensure that the future generations will enjoy their precious,
sustainable heritage on the land that is loved and protected.
HUNT LION IN SOUTH AFRICA The African Lion is one of the most feared and
respected of all of the Big 5. It is truly the King of the
African Savannah and there is no better way to hunt these
magnificent beasts than on foot. The “old school way.“ This
outfitter has been hunting free-ranging Lion for over seven
years. There are three dedicated Lion reserves, comprising
over 25,000 acres, devoted to free range Lion. These
exclusive hunts have been very well received by hunting
communities and are especially popular with clients who do
not want to hunt “canned” Lion. Vast majorities of Hunters
have typically hunted West Africa, Tanzania, Zambia,
Zimbabwe, Botswana and Mozambique and have either been
unsuccessful on Lion or have wanted to add heavier maned
Lion to their collection or just to experience lion hunting at
its best. All these hunters have found the walk and stalk hunt
challenging and truly fair chase

HUNT RHINO IN SOUTH AFRICA Every hunter that visits Africa, dreams of hunting the Big Five. Thanks
to like-minded wildlife enthusiasts and the efforts by sportsman these
pre-historic giants can once again be hunted. For many people the cost
is a prohibitive. With this outfitter’s on-going management plan and
carefully managed Rhino population there is a thrilling
alternative. The “Rhino dart” this is a legal method of darting and is
recognized by both DSC and SCI as part of a big 5 hunt. This is a
unique and exciting experience to get up close and personal to one of
Africa’s most dangerous game. This is one of the few Rhino reserves
that have an accredited management and research program in place
with the South African Game Department.
Black Rhino
The Ultimate in Sport Hunting! A large population of Black Rhino can
be found walking amongst Lion. This is most probably the most
dangerous of all hunts and extremely challenging as the Black Rhino is
notoriously cantankerous. Hunters are more likely to become the
hunted and not the hunter! It becomes extremely challenging testing the hunter and Professional Hunter’s abilities against the
Rhino’s very acute sense of hearing and smell, coupled with the Rhino’s natural aggression when the hunter intends to dart the
Rhino instead of using a killing shot. Bagging one of the Black Rhino puts the hunter in the league of the elite hunting fraternity.
Very few hunters have acquired this distinction.
White Rhino
The White or “Square lipped” Rhino command respect because of their sheer size. Stalking a prehistoric creature such as the White
rhino is always an exciting experience. Their eyesight is better than people give them credit, but it is their nose and ears that are
excellent. When in close quarters they are completely unpredictable and are likely to run towards you for closer inspection!
HUNT THE CAPE BUFFALO IN SOUTH AFRICA
The Cape buffalo has earned its respect by many PH’s and
Hunters across the African continent. Robert Raurk best describes
them “He looks at you as if you owe him money”. They are
unpredictable and probably the most dangerous if cornered or
wounded. These Bovine beasts appear docile but when cornered or
wounded they can be extremely aggressive and cunning. This is a
classic, dangerous game safaris in the old style, with plenty of
walking, tracking and scouting
Coastal Hunting
Lush, undulating grassland and Thornveld plateaus are typical
Eastern Cape Sweetveld bush for hunting in an area steeped in the
history of Anglo-Boer conflicts. Trophies on offer are the shy Blue
Duiker and Oribi, the elusive Grysbuck, the aggressive Bushpig and
Bushbuck and the cunning Caracal, only a short distance away in
the natural beauty and biodiversity of pristine bush and lush farmland. You will be welcomed as guests to the picturesque seaside
village of Port Alfred, which is in the heart of the Sunshine Coast, between the Eastern Cape coastal cities of Port Elizabeth, East
London and inlands towards historical Settler Country. The stunning Safari Lodge is a stone’s throw from the sea and enjoys access
to every modern amenity. Providing gracious accommodation, the Safari Lodge is
situated high on the banks of the wide, navigable and tidal Kowie River and nestled
amongst the natural Milkwood trees on a ten acre property with private jetty.
Superb beaches, invigorating boat cruises, river and deep sea fishing, golfing along
spectacular stretches of the Indian Ocean coastline, resort spa treatment facilities, quad-
biking, water-skiing, scuba diving, canoeing, whale and dolphin watching, Horse
Safaris through contrasting habitats of dune forest, open grassland and over
magnificent beaches and sand dunes, led by qualified guides, visits to nearby private
game reserves or walks in unspoiled indigenous forests are all a few of the
recreational activities on offer. Page 2
Safaris are conducted by fully experienced, licensed Professional Hunters, supported by a compliment of trackers and
skinners, to enjoy an unforgettable hunting safari. Special custom-built Land Cruisers transport clients into the specific hunting area
and from there all hunting is done on foot to experience true fair-chase hunting. This is the perfect hunter and family
experience. Whether on a private adventure or part of a group of hunters, this outfitter honors you with the warmest hospitality and
the wonder of the African Safari.
