People can sometimes feel a little deflated aſter such festive hype, so this week helps to kick start the new year and drive us to seek out those things that make us happy. What makes you feel happy? Perhaps it’s spending time with family or friends? Maybe there are some new hobbies you would like to try or music you enjoy listening to? National Ice Cream Day Historians estimate that the recipe for sorbet evolved into ice cream sometime in the 16th century. Ice cream was originally called “cream Ice” and appeared regularly at the table of Charles I during the 17th century. It wasn’t until 1660 that ice cream was made available to the public. Until 1800, ice cream remained a rare and exotic dessert enjoyed mostly by the wealthiest families.
