She uses Play-back Theatre as a very unique form of business thea-tre. She got certified as trainer by Jonathan Fox, Centrefor Playback Theatre New York. She has a profoundGermany based education in Psychodrama (MIEÜ &PIB), Augusto Boal Statue Theatre (TPZ) and Organiza-tional Development (MIS).

Dorothea Erl is running her own playback shows notonly in the corporate world but as well in Theater Festivals, Street Art and conferences (like the GermanNational TA conference 2018). Her focus is in personaldevelopment, cultural change and employee engage-ment. Her clients include Siemens, Veolia, Continental,Deutsche Telecom, Nestlé and Deutsche Bahn (Ger-manRail). Dorothea lives with her family near Luene-burg, which is a charming town near Hamburg.

Playback is improvisational theater which honors per-sonal story. Playback was created by Jonathan Fox, astudent of J L Moreno (and others) in 1975. And thereare now Playback companies around the world. In ad-dition to being performed as artistic theater, Playbackis used in educational, community and clinical settings.The IPTN 2019 conference will be hosted at Bangalorefrom Dec., 4th - 8th 2019. The actors (= in “psycho-drama wordings”: antagonists) listen to the teller’s (= protagonist) tale, and then “playback” what theyhear as the essence of the story. Their enactment maybe realistic (= play) or symbolic (= surplus). A conductor(= Director) helps to structure the story for the actorsby asking questions of the teller. Often, a musician willaccompany the performance. The actors may usedrama, mime, dance, movement, sound or puppetryin their enactments. A performance will include va-rious Playback forms. Perhaps a moment in the teller’sday will be played back as a brief Fluid Sculpture. Amore literal and lengthy story may be appropriate attimes.

KAREN DRUCKER PSY.D., TEP is a Licensed Psychologist in Boulder, Colorado; where she utilizes psychodrama in her private practice and teaches graduate psychology students at Naropa University in the Mindfulness and Transpersonal Graduate Counseling Program. Karen Drucker, Psy.D, TEP was part of the original Therapeutic Spiral Training Group in the 1990’s. As a Licensed Psychologist and Board-Certified Trainer, Practitioner of Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy, she runs two monthly psychodrama training groups for therapists drawing on her vast experience with TSM teams both nationally and internationally, including Brisbane, Australia; Istanbul, Turkey; Nottingham and Sheffield, U.K., and Baltimore, MD and Charlottesville, VA. She served as TSM Trainer for teams in Boulder, CO and Ottawa, Canada.

This workshop teaches you to support people who have had to use the survival skills of flight, fight or freeze to cope with trauma and violence to develop more adaptive support systems. Survival, addiction and eating disorders as defenses against untreated trauma can be contained to prevent relapse and promote post-traumatic growth. Learn the TSM Action intervention of the Manager if Defenses from individual therapy to institutionalized violence.

The Therapeutic Spiral Model’s (TSM) “Trauma Triangle” is a unique config-uration that clarifies the destructive cycle of victim, perpetrator, and abandon-ing authority. In distinction to Karpman’s Triangle, this last role was created by TSM to explain the subtle, yet damaging, presence of someone who was absent—not there to rescue—i.e., there was no appropriate authority.

The Trauma Triangle represents a closed circuit of energy embedded in the personality structure of those who have survived cruelty or trauma, repeating itself as life-long patterns of abuse and neglect. This training provides tools that empower transformation of self-neglect to self-care and that instill healthy problem-solving.

Participants gain a deeper understanding of the internal personality and neu-robiological structure of PTSD; learn to integrate TSM’s Prescriptive Roles & Safety Structures into clinical practice, and experience the power and depth of a TSM group process that is used across cultures.

This workshop offers training hours for Psychodrama and can be a stand-alone or foundation course for TSI’s International Certification Program in Trauma Therapy.

Originally developed by Dr. Jacob L. Moreno (since1921), and later expanded by Prof. Dr. Hans-WernerGessmann (Founder of PIB Germany, established in1973) it is one of the Humanistic Therapy methods(amongst Gestalt Therapy - Fritz Perls; client centeredapproach - Carl Rogers ; Logo Therapy - Viktor E.Frankl; and Transactional Analysis TA - Eric Berne) practiced widely in Europe and US and brought toIndia by the new owner of PIB, Prof. Dr. Jochen Becker-Ebel in 2012.

Jochen Becker-Ebel, a German trainer, counsellor, psychodramatist, and CEO of MediAcion - a large German training institute in Medical Education; and of PIB-Zentrum, the core institute of Humanistic Psychodrama in Europe. He has been visiting India ona regular basis since 1985. In 2012 he founded Vedadrama India. Apart from training 3000 doctors in Germany and India and he has been taking severalpsychodrama groups in Hamburg (since 2008), Chennai (2012), Bangalore, Coimbatore and New Delhi.

Psychodrama as a method provides both: insights intothe psyche leading to personal and spiritual growth;as well as applications in training, facilitation andcoaching. He is joined by other international expertslike Dr. Steven Durost, Dr. Karen Drucker TEP, Dr. Falkovon Ameln, Klaus Harter, Dorothea Erl and Savita Dhawan TEP, who started to give psychodrama trainingin India in 1996 to 1999.

Psychodrama is a post graduate study suitable for degree holders in Medicine, Psychology, MBA, and similar fields. Most of the participants are eitherCoaches/Trainers or Counsellors/ Therapists. Leader-ship skills are developed and therefore Companyowners (future) leaders and HRD are attending. As psychodrama is apt for training and education we have Professors and lecturers attending the courses.The 85 long term participants come from India, Ger-many, Qatar, Iran, China, Finland, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

STRUCTUREDetails on the dates and course structure are on thewebsite. The typical learning group of 10 to 18 personswill have a continuous experience of learning for atleast one year with 4 times 4 days.

Annual certificates are given. Pls find details on thewebsite. After 16 days of training (160 hours, 4 times4 days) a Psychodrama Leadership certificate can beobtained. To reach the international level of being acertified Psychodrama Practitioner (CP), who can trainothers, 880 hours spread over 4 years are needed.

Vedadrama India and PIB are international organiza-tion members of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (ASGPP); and havean Education Institute Membership with InternationalAssociation of Counselling (IAC). The Executive Educa-tion in Humanistic Psychodrama is certified by IAC.
