Sociological Prespective of Movie

• This movie shows that how the new generation is being treating their parents when they get old and are dependent on their children to feed them.• This is now the common thing being seen

everywhere in todays world. because they think that their parents are useless thing in the house and are occupying the useful space at their home.• While we all need to find our own way in life, we

will always be bound by our family ties. And come rain or sunshine, good times or bad, we will always have each other.

Amitabh in his speech explains that how chidren emotionaly and financially abused their parents. Emotional in the sense that the children forced their father and mother to live seprately as they know very well that how much their parent love each other and cannot live without each other. And the financial abuse in the sense that his sons & thier wives always make them realise that they are unneccesarliy spending on them which they can save and utilize somewhere else

Family Misbehavior

Forgiveness

• In this movie Raj Malhotra and Pooja Malhotra nurture their children but their children separate them and didn’t care them. They thought that they are burden . But in the end Raj and Pooja forgive their children.

• True love is time less. It never ages and never dies.• The best time of our lives are with our family.• As long as we have money ,we will be

surrounded by relatives and friends.• Sometimes family became strangers and

strangers became family.• Money may come and go. We have very less

time to spend with our parents. Make the most of it.• Always the remember the sacrifice our parents

did for us in order to raise us.

In the end of the movie,it leave us a question for us:If a father can help a son to take his first step in life ... then why can't the same son support his father to take his last step in life?

INTRODUCTIONBol the Pakistani movie revolves around the typical family life where the members are constantly facing the abusive behaviour from the head of the family, their own father who is the only bread earner of 8 children and a wife. I have chosen different scenes of the movie. The scenes depict the following conditions of the society:-• Child Abuse• Women rights• Religion wrongly depicted• Crime

Sociological  Principles Applied

In this movie many of the sociological principles can be applied as the movie is totally depicting the current situations of the 3rd world countries specially the Asia where the daughter’s birth are still cursed by the families and where the people are still producing too many children which is impossible for them to feed those children and make them educated. There is great physical and emotional torcher involved in this movie.

WOMEN RIGHTSIn this movie all the powers were held with the male head of the family.1. Females were given no contributions in the decision making of anything. The father in this family not even bothers to send his daughters to the school only because of the fact that they were girls.2. Secondly the concept is being shown that how the females are abused and treated in an inhumane way in the Asian countries. This is very common especially in Pakistan, India & Bangladesh.3. Girls are forced to marry against their wish is now a trend found everywhere, in this movie also the father first got her daughter married with the wrong person and then was going to marry the other daughter as well again with the wrong person and without letting her to chose one for herself.

Social Exclusion Social Exclusion refers to ways in which individuals may become cut off from full involvement in the wider society. In this movie all the members were socially excluded from the involvement in the society except the neighbours who were very good with the daughters.1. The girls were not sent to schools, the financial conditions of the family were too poor.2.The male member of the family was a Molvi and doesn’t allow the female members to go out of the house for any reason. There was even no mean ofentertainment was there in the house. No televisions no radios totally separated from the world.3.This is what happening in most of the countries. Females are still socially excluded from the world as the male member has restricted them to.

CHILD ABUSE

Child abuse was in the beginning and at the ending as well. When the molvi’s wife gave birth to a neutral the molvi wants to kill that child due to his gender.1. The Gender Discrimination is again seen in this scene. When that child grew up the father even doesn’t want to see his face and start beating him up without any reason.2. The father killed his child because of his sex and the crime of sake of fake reputation is also depicted in this scene.Again the society is being depicted here who can do anything to keep their so called reputation in the society because of the beliefs which have being taken in wrong sense.

Religion MisconceptionIt was a very good point I have noticed that how the people take

religion concepts in a wrong a way.

1.The dialogue said by the Molvi “Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) ne kaha tha k qayamat k roz meri umat sab se bari honi chaiye”. From this phrase the father actually means that it’s commanded by the Prophet (S.A.W) that we should give birth to as many children as possible to make His umat the biggest among the nation. Whereas the actual meaning of this phrase is that Prophet’s Umat should be huge and superior in values, good deeds and good character. Still in the world people are so illiterate to understand the correct meaning of their religion. This scene has shown this concept in a very nice way.

2. Cast issue is again a huge issue in our religion. Sunni Shia fight is still in progress. The fathers don’t allow her daughter to marry the Shia boy whom she loved since her childhood. This was the reason he has to escape from her home to marry according to her wish. This scene shows that how the family restrictions force the child to act in this manner. 3. Father after killing his neutral child say “ Gairat k naam pe qatal kia hai”. Another misconception.

CONCLUSIONEverything depicted in this movie can also being seen in this reality world. Women rights are consistently ignore, bigger families and no food to eat is a greatest problem seen in world, crimes on the name of religion. In the ending speech Zainab say’s that she has taken revenge of her birth from his father by killing him. She said that his father have not given birth to 8 children but have killed 8 children in the sense that he gave her daughters no education, no freedom, no good food and clothes to wear. Then she questions the society that when you are not able to feed your children up then why does u gave them birth. This question goes to everyone practicing the above things.

CONCEPT OF THE MOVIE The concept of the movie is so real. When people do not understand you, or what you are going through, they just follow the traditional path, saying "you are just being stubborn, you can do anything if you really put your mind to it." This has been perfectly captured in the movie where the father of the dyslexia child just thinks that the child is acting up or is just being stubborn and hence, is not being good at school-work. That is the problem with the close-minded educated people... they "think“ they know everything... But very few realise that there is always something that we do not know, something that might be true and real if we just try to understand!

MESSAGE FROM MOVIE• The movie gives parents many important messages. In many modern families, fathers believe that they are responsible for earning money and the wife have therefore responsibility of the house including child development. However, it is a parent’s mistake, because both father and mother have influent to children development. Moreover, parents should be very careful and try not to make the children realize as if they are a burden on them, this affects the soul of the child. In fact, all the parents expect their children can develop and learn well and they use marks to evaluate their children , they often set their expectation on their children without caring their thinking, dream and need . The most important thing the parents forgot is that they less care about the child’s pressure of school or family; what problems their children have; how they can help them or what talent their children have.

• The movie also gives teachers many important messages that in the class, the role of teacher is very important, they will effect directly on learning attitude of children. It is very necessary for teachers to recognize their students’ strength and weakness as well as their hobbies. . The student’s development depends mostly on his ability because each student has an individual intelligence. The teacher should create learning environment that child can express all their ability. One of the most important is the teachers’ attitude with the students must be friendly and unthreatening, therefore the students are able to follow the instruction and share their problems through different means. For the teachers patience is necessary when students make mistakes or naughty. It is impossible to scold, beat or kick them out the class as a punishment. That will make the students naughtier or hate the teacher and do not want to go to school.

CONCLUSIONInstead of scolding and blaming , please teach and assist the

child.Do not compare your child with the others because it will

make him scared and worried.  This film also makes us see how every child is special and

every child is different.
