Salary Guide 2020

Salary GuideHuman Resources & Administrative

Thoughts from our CEO

Last year was most certainly an exciting year, both locally and nationally. Unemployment has remained

at all-time lows and the talent shortage was felt from coast to coast. Although challenges on the hiring

front were apparent across all sectors, the stock market surged close to 30% which fueled a great sense

of optimism amongst most.

There has been talk of a recession, although no one knows for sure when or if the local and national

economies will be affected. Until that time comes, it’s business as usual.

At Transition Staffing Group, we identify trends in the marketplace as well as potential pitfalls. In 2019,

most companies and job applicants were still learning about California’s new Salary Law. This law

banned companies from asking salary history and the net effect was many competitive job titles saw

salary increases throughout the year as supply and demand dictated true market value. In our opinion,

this was a healthy move and we applaud California for leading the way as several states followed suit.

If your organization faces pressure as you look for top talent and navigate the myriad of options

when attempting to fill an open requisition, consider utilizing a specialist like Transition Staffing Group.

We maintain the top reputation in the state of California for staffing/recruitment firms and with our

transparent approach, the process of finding talent on a direct-hire and temporary basis is our

top priority.

Here are a few examples when we recommend engaging a recruiting firm like TSG:

1. Internal recruiting resources are limited, or network is limited for the discipline required

2. The opening is beyond your internal recruiting expertise

3. Timing of the hire is critical to the retention of others in the department

4. The position is very impactful to the organization

5. Internal and external confidentiality required

6. Your position has a very specific skillset required

7. Temporary help is needed

We hope you find our Salary Guide useful for current team compensation assessment and or future

hiring needs. If any questions arise during this process, please reach out to us; we are here as an

extension of your recruiting team.
