Santa Claus Santa’s Grotto The North Pole Michael Elementary- 2 nd grade class 3155 Quiet Plain San Antonio, Texas Dear (insert name), Thank you very much for your letter and drawings. We love receiving letters from good children like you. You write so well; I can tell you are learning so much in 2 nd grade! Here at the North Pole, every year we receive hundreds of sacks of mail from children around the world. Mrs Claus and I read every single one and we keep the letters from every child who has been good and is kind to their family & friends. Every year, with the help of all the Mums & Dads, Grannies & Grandpas, and Aunts & Uncles, I write a list of all the children who have been especially good. I am happy to tell you that you are on the top of my list this year. Well done (insert name), keep up the good work next year and remember to say “please” and “thank you”. The elves and I have been very busy all year making toys in time for Christmas morning. Can you imagine how many toys we have in our Grotto? We have toys as far as the eyes can see and I have made sure that the elves put something special aside just for you. Rudolf and the rest of our reindeer are looking forward to flying around the world on Christmas Eve. Delivering presents is very tiring work, so don’t forget to leave out some treats for Rudolf (he loves carrots. Did you know that carrots help him see in the dark?). Well (insert name), I had better get back to replying to the rest of your classmates who have written to me. Thank you again for being a good (boy girl) and remember that the real joy of Christmas is spending time with your family. Merry Christmas and a happy new year! Ho Ho Ho! Santa P.S.

Dear (insert name),

Thank you very much for your letter and drawings. We love receiving letters from good children like you. You write so well; I can tell you are learning so much in 2nd grade!

Ho Ho Ho!
