Lumbini Park

It is a new amusement park on the banks of Hussain Sagar Lake opposite

to Secretariat in Necklace Road beginning and has a musical fountain show

at 1830 P.M. to 2000P.M. Open from Tuesday to Sunday. Timings 0900

A.M. to 2100 P.M Ticket.Rs.25/-

Shilparamam

It’s Crafts village spread over 30 acres set amidst lovely rocks, rippling

waterfalls and gorgeous lawns located at Madhapur. It also is the cultural

hub of the city hosting several cultural programmes all around the year. It is

a one time opportunity to take home a piece of India . Distance 3 ½ Kms

from Gachibowli x Road.. A variety of handloom and handicraft and pearl

items are put up for sale through various exhibitions in this village.

Qutub Shahi Tombs

These stately domes form an umbrella over the tombs underneath which

rest the majestic kings of the Qutub Shahi dynasty in peace, thence the

name. Located quite close to and in the vicinity of the tombs were

ornamented with blue and green tiles of which only a few can be seen now.

The rooms inside the smaller tombs are basically single-storied while the

larger ones have two-storied structures. Closed on Friday.

Salarjung Museum

One of the oldest museums in the twin cities, it is reputed to be the largest

private collection in the world. It definitely is a major attraction and is open

on all days except on Fridays. The museum has various artifacts collected

by Nawab Turab Ali Khan, popularly known as Salar Jung I, the diwan of

the Hyderabad State, and his descendants. Timings 1000A.M. to 1700 P.M.

Closed on Friday. Entry fee Rs. 10.

Nehru Zoological Park

One of the largest and the best zoos in Asia, the Nehru Zoological Park has nearly 1,500 species of animals, birds

and reptiles. Situated in Agricultural University in Rajendranagar, the zoo is ahead of Afzalgunj, the Osmania

General Hospital and the High Court of AP. Closed on Monday.

Stroll across the lane to the west of the Charminar and you reach this street

you into buying inexpensive.

Sanghi Temple

The majestic temple complex lies about 25 Kms. from the city towards

Ramoji Giri hill and its 15ft. tall sacred Raja Gopuram dominates the

skylines of the area. There are several other temples in the complex

dedicate to various Hindu deities.

Durgam Cheruvu

Popularly known as Secret Lake, Durgam Cheruvu is a dazzling lake enveloped by mammoth hillocks. It is a

perfect outing for a cool boat ride and a soothing touch of nature for just Rs. 15/- per head.

NTR Memorial Garden

Built in memory of late Chief Minister and popular hero NTR, the 34 acre garden is unique for its topography

landscape, Toy Train, Firecracker & antique-cars in the form of dining table. Is located next to Samadhi of Late

Chief Minister Shri N.T. Rama Rao. Both are situated in necklace road on the bank of Hussein Sagar.

Shopping

Historic Hyderabad is a shopper’s paradise too. The city is famous for its pearls, bangles, exquisite handicrafts and

handlooms, semiprecious stones, Jewells, textile fabrics (Pochampalli sarees), perfumes, toys, metalware (bidri

work), wood work. bargainable rates. Leading shops for branded items of all these items are available at Abids,

Koti, Ameerpet, Secunderabad main streets.

Chilkoor Balaji Mandir

The 500 year old Balaji Temple lies in Chilkoor village, about 20 Kms. from the city. The temple on the banks of

scenic Osman Sagar, affords a fine view of Gandipet Dam.
