In April 2018, HUD announced additional allocations from the Congressional appropriation of nearly $28 billion in additional federal disaster relief funds for mitigation activities and unmet needs.

Amendments 2 and 3 to the State Action Plan outline the distribution of this allocation, approved February 22 and June 13, 2019, respectively.

The GLO submitted the CDBG-MIT State Action Plan to HUD

for approval on Feb. 3, 2020. HUD issued long awaited guidance

on August 30, 2019.
