1. Huayra

Meet Huayra. It is a perfect solution for anyone interested in cloud storage of data in a safe and convenient

manner. Yet, Huayra is not a cloud - it is a system that offers user cloud management among its various functions.

Our goal is to prevent online surveillance, and we pursue this goal through complex protection systems. Huayra is

independent of cloud operators and other institutions, and we are not bound by any contract with any of them. As an

independent system, we offer unrestricted security and confidentiality. We do not store, access or provide our users'

passwords. Therefore, we do not offer password reminder options; however, you can save your password on your

local machine. When you use Huayra, you can rest assured that your data will be accessible for you only. We do not

have tools for viewing your data or disclosing your data to any third parties. Your data is stored securely on one or

more accounts with various cloud operators. You can additionally encrypt your data with one or two encryption

algorithms. We implement the most secure encryption algorithms such as: Blowfish, Twofish, Serpent, Rijndael, each

with maximum encryption key. We are going to deploy new encryption algorithm according to future development of

IT systems and encryption solutions. According to your specific configuration, you can use single, double or no

encryption of your data.

Because data in cloud storage may differ in terms of importance for the owner, you can encrypt all your data

or single folders only. Encryption is not the only data security solution in Huayra; we also offer striping and mirroring

methods. In the striping process, files are sectioned into parts, encrypted and transferred in this form to various user

clouds. Therefore, in the event of hacker attack, such files cannot be combined and read. High speed transfer is an

added advantage. With mirroring, files are stored in redundant layout in two or more clouds. With this method, user

files are secure even in case of failure or shutdown of one of the clouds. If you use more than one cloud, you can

now be able to experience them from a single point of access with Huayra. Log in once to access all your clouds and

use them conveniently through a single application. The comfort of using Huayra is also due to the implemented

synchronization mechanisms. We use multipoint synchronization for synchronizing selected folders in a flexible

manner. You can also choose whether you are interested in sync on demand, activated at any time, or real-time

synchronization. In addition to all these benefits, Huayra has been created to facilitate usage for any user; this is why

the system interface is intuitive and transactions are executed in a natural way.

Thank you for your choice. Have a great time using our product. Huayra Team

2. System It is reasonable to understand the structure of the system you use. The system is built on three components: Instance, Volume,

Storage.

Instance

Instance is responsible for gathering all data read and write information from clouds. Two types of Instances can be distinguished:

Local Server - for attachment of Volume Native, with all information stored on the user's local machine. Volumes attached to a Local Server are not replicated to other machines and must be mounted on each computer separately.

Global Server - for attachment of Volume Static and Volume Dynamic. Information is stored on an external server. Volumes attached to a Global Server are replicated to other machines.

Volume

Volume is a coherent and continuous space for file operations. A Volume is a logical element consisting of Arrays, determining the Volume structure, and Storages representing physical cloud spaces. Three types of Volumes can be distinguished:

Volume Native - for connecting user cloud in the same way as if the user was using the original cloud client. Offers synchronization involving original mechanisms provided by operators and file access from mobile devices using the original cloud client for mobile devices.

Volume Static - for connecting a single cloud. It offers encryption of files in selected folders and managing unencrypted files via original cloud clients on mobile devices. It also offers secure maintenance of sensitive files that should not be disclosed and require protection, as well as ordinary files used in accordance with standard hard drive storage provider's service

Volume Dynamic - provides the maximum level of safety. With a double encryption mechanism that implements various encryption algorithms and independent passwords. Files stored in Volume Dynamic will resist brute force decryption attempts. Extra protection of data is provided by background segmentation of files and saving them in different hard drive areas (striping) or, according to actual configuration, saving multiple copies of the same files in different disc spaces (mirroring).

- Striping: In the striping process, files are segmented and randomly transferred to all the user's clouds. This will significantly accelerate data transfer and prevent consolidation of file fragments in the event of attack at disc storage space provider. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_striping - Mirroring: With mirroring, files are saved in multiple clouds simultaneously. The user may access his files even in case of failure or shutdown of one of the clouds. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disk_mirroring

Storage

Storage in the system is the physical disc storage space offered by cloud operator.

You will get a confirmation with data of your selected Volume configuration. To create your Volume, click Create.

Now choose additional security for your data. You can choose from the following two options:

Striping - files will be segmented and sent to different clouds.

Mirroring - files are saved to more than one cloud at the same time, to secure data in the event of failure of any of the clouds.

With Huayra, you can set up complex links between clouds. At that point, you will choose the primary data linking mechanism. You can extend it at any time, using the Array configuration tool described under Section 5.

Important!

Try to schedule your Volume configura on in advance, as you will not

be able to change your configura on (without extension) and you will

have to set up a new Volume. Therefore, you will have to copy your

files to the Volume again.

Below is an example of a complex Volume architecture.

Note that through mixed types of links, you can achieve a

combina on of striping (files cannot be reconsolidated in case of

a ack at one of the clouds) and mirroring, thus increasing your

chance to recover your files in case of failure of one or more

providers.

Choose the desired Storage provider, select a specific Storage and click Attach.

Tip!

You can a ach a selected Storage to one Array only.

In this way, you have attached your Storage to an Array Root working in striping mode. You can repeat this procedure many times, adding more storages to the selected Array.

In our example, we used two Storages from the same cloud provider. However, you can connect Storages from different providers, or a larger number of Storages. You can see a summary of total storage space available to the specified Array at the bottom. This is the end of our example configuration process; to confirm, click Apply.

Important!

You cannot remove a ached Storages from your Volume; to use

these Storages again, you have to delete the Volume.

New Storages a ached to the Array will be forma ed at the me

of moun ng the Volume, and all files from the a ached Storages

will be deleted. Storages already in use will remain unaffected and

retain their contents.
