Perez, DPM Patient History Patient is a 70 year old diabetic male with diabetic neuropathy chronic open wound planter on right hallux for less than 3 months - no healing. Date: 01/23/09 1 st Dermagraft Application Wound Size: 1.3cm x 1.2cm x .05cm Date: 01/30/09 2 nd Dermagraft Application Wound Size: 1.0cm x .8cm x .03cm Date: 02/06/09 3 rd Dermagraft Application Wound Size: .7cm x .4cm x .01cm Diagnosis Diabetic planter wound on right hallux, chronic non-healing decubitus ulcer on right hallux, and diabetic neuropathy. Wound Treatment & Outcome Initially, patient had local wound infection with maceration drainage and swelling HPK tissue. Patient was given antibiotics and Dermagraft was applied for 4 weeks with full wound closure documented at week 7.
