Disassembly - Step 1
Power off your HTC Aria
Remove the battery cover, battery, Sim card & memory card
Use a Tri Wing Screwdriver to remove the four (4) screws
*Note that these screws are all the same size

Disassembly - Step 2
Use a pry tool to remove the top housing. This is simply held in place with a few clips. Slide your tool around the edges to release each clip
You can now release the upper cover which is held in place by two clips surrounding the screw holes. Lift this up and then pry above the camera to remove the power button cover

Removing the Lower Cover
With the upper covers removed we can now remove the lower cover. This is also held in place with a few clips. Work your way around the edges to release them.

Removing the Motherboard
We can now release and remove the motherboard to do so release or remove the following:
Two (2) small Phillips screws Two (2) antenna connections One (1) pop connector (LCD)
You can then lift the motherboard up, releasing 2 pop connectors under the motherboard. Simply pry this up and the connectors will release.

Heating the Screen Assembly
Heat the outside edges of the screen assembly. Use a heat gun or hair dryer on medium heat for about 30 seconds.

Releasing the Screen Assembly
Use a pry tool to gently release the adhesive holding the touch screen and LCD to the frame.
Work your way around all the edges until you can flip the screen assembly up, towards the top of the device.

Removing the Screen Assembly
Remove the two (2) small Phillips screws holding the metal housing to the back of the upper motherboard. Then, use a pry tool to lift the metal plate away, exposing the touch screen connector.

Releasing the Touch Screen
Use your pry tool to lift the pop connector for the touch screen. You can then slide it through the housing and separate the screen assembly. Apply slight pressure to the motherboard to give the connection enough room to slide through.

Remove the Ear Speaker
Use your pry tool to remove the ear speaker from the screen assembly. Be sure to note the orientation of the speaker.

Separating the Screens
Apply slight heat to the sides of the screens. Use a pry tool to gently separate the LCD from the touch screen.

Applying Adhesive to the Touch Screen
If you are replacing the touch screen, swap over the soft key diffusers and apply new adhesive around the edges.

Assembling the Screens
Attach the LCD to the touch screen. Slide the touch screen flex cable through the housing and re connect the pop connector. Re-attach the ear speaker using old or new adhesive.

Reassembling the Housing
Use the two (2) small Phillips screws to secure the metal plate back to the back of the motherboard. Place the screen assembly back onto the housing and securely press it down.

Reassembling the Motherboard
Place the motherboard over the assembly and secure the two pop connectors under the motherboard. You can then replace the following: LCD Connector Two (2) small Phillips
Screws Two (2) antenna cables

Reassembling the Lower Housing
Securely press the lower housing back over the motherboard.

Secure the Upper HousingSnap both pieces of the top housing back onto the Aria. Be sure to secure the two (2) covers over the screw holes.
