    It is the policy of Esh Construction Ltd (the Company) that its operations shall be

    conducted in such a way as to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the

    health, safety and welfare of all its employees, subcontractors and site visitors

    and that its activities will not adversely aect the health and safety of others i.e.

    members of the public, children and any other interested parties. We believe

    there is no conict between our re!uirement to "eep our wor"force and membersof the public safe and our lon# term $nancial success. %othin# that we do is so

    important that we put people, property or the environment at ris".

    &he 'oard holds the ana#in# irector accountable for health and safety

    throu#hout the company*s operations however the 'oard reco#nises that this

    duty will be shared by the speci$c ivisional irector.

    &he ana#in# irector will hold the appointed ivisional irector for speci$c

    pro+ects responsible for the health and safety of all aspects of those pro+ects.

    In the $eld of health and safety we see" to achieve the hi#hest standards. We do

    not pursue this aim simply to achieve compliance with current le#islation, butbecause it is in our best interests. &he eective mana#ement of health and

    safety, leadin# to fewer accidents involvin# in+ury and time o wor" is an

    investment which helps us to achieve our purposes.

    We are committed to ensurin# that all health and safety le#islation and

    re#ulations are complied with. ll new and proposed le#islation, codes of practice

    and other re!uirements to which the company may subscribe will be considered

    and any si#ni$cant chan#es will be made to the policy to ensure it continues to

    reect le#al compliance in all wor"in# practices, as a minimum standard.

    &he -ealth, afety and Welfare /olicy will be reviewed at least annually and

    monitored to ensure compliance with current and any future le#al re!uirementsis achieved.

    We re!uire that hi#h standards of health, safety and welfare shall be achieved

    and maintained at all our sites and o0ces. We also reco#nise the need to have a

    stron# commitment to the protection of the environment and to minimise waste1

    to this end we have set out our environmental policy statement as part of the

    -ealth, afety and Welfare /olicy in order to support this commitment.

    &his policy and all revisions of it will be brou#ht to the attention of all employees

    by their line mana#er in compliance with Company procedures.

    We will ensure compliance with the re!uirements of this policy by maintainin# athorou#h monitorin# pro#ramme. If we feel that any part of the policy is not

    eective, we will ta"e whatever steps are re!uired to rectify the problem.

    ll matters concernin# health and safety will be implemented only after full

    consultation with the employees. onthly safety meetin#s are held to ensure

    compliance with current le#al re!uirements. We also reco#nise that there is a

    re!uirement to consult with employees and will therefore encoura#e full

    employee participation in all matters relatin# to health and safety. Employees

    will be aorded every opportunity to discuss health and safety issues with a

    senior mana#er of the Company.

    We will ensure that all relevant health and safety trainin# will be underta"en andthat all the necessary information re!uired to carry out a tas" or tas"s safely will

    be forwarded to the appropriate parties. We are committed to arran#in# and

    carryin# out our wor"s in such a manner so as to prevent as far as reasonably

    possible the e2posure of employees or others to in+ury or ill health as a result of

    those wor"s. We will also ensure that su0cient resources are available to meet

    all reasonable health and safety re!uirements.

    We see" continual improvement in all matters concernin# -ealth, afety and

    Welfare and $rmly believe that all accidents and instances of ill health are

    preventable.

    It is the function of mana#ement to provide all the necessary resources in order

    to carry out wor" in a safe manner. We reco#nise however, that a safety policy

    cannot function properly without the support and co3operation of all employees.

    We therefore remind all employees that they have a le#al duty not only to wor"

    in a safe manner, but also to co3operate with eorts to create safe and healthy

    wor"in# conditions.
