Inserting batteries

The appliance runs on two R6 AA 1.5-voltbatteries. Preferably use Philips alkaline batteries.

Make sure that your hands are dry when inserting the batteries.

C 1 Remove the cap of the batterycompartment by pushing on the rib of thecap (1) and then lifting the cap off theappliance (2).

C 2 Place two batteries in the batterycompartment.

Make sure the + and - indications on thebatteries match the indications in the batterycompartment.

The shaver does not work if the batteries havebeen placed incorrectly.

The cap only fits onto the appliance in one way(you will hear a click).

◗ To avoid damage due to battery leakage:- do not expose the appliance to temperatures

higher than 35cC;- remove the batteries if the appliance is not

Two new batteries offer a cordless shaving timeof 60 minutes.

Using the appliance

C 1 Switch the appliance on by pressing theswitch lock (1) and pushing the on/off slideupwards (2).

Brush carefully in the direction of the arrow.

7 Slide the shaving heads back into theretaining frame and put the retaining frameback into the shaving unit.

1 Reduced shaving performance

B Cause 1: the shaving heads are dirty.B The shaver has not been cleaned well enough or

has not been cleaned for a long time.
