The Torrey Pines Scientific HS19 analog multiple-position hot plate stirrer comes with 9 individually controllable stirring spots. The 305 x 305 mm chemically resistant ceramic heater top of the HS19 is mounted into a cast aluminum frame and is ideally suited for temperature control of liquid samples with a heater power of 1,200 watts.
The HS19 magnetic stirrer with heater is driven by an open loop control. Up to 400 ml of aqueous solution per stirring position can be mixed over a speed range of 100 to 1,500 rpm. The tempera-ture is settable for the entire heater top.
The handling of the HS19 stirring hot plate is very easy. Stirring speed and temperature are set with the corresponding stepless control knobs which are placed well forward of the heater sur-face to prevent accidental burns. A control light indicates that the heating function is in operation.
