Why or why not ANS: Objective of PDP To attract and recruit highly talented, entry-level candidates and provide them with broad rotation based exposure to corporation through on the job experience and training and development activities. Supervalu’s professional development programme has been designed in such way that it’ll attract high potential graduates for successful management careers in the distribution, retail and corporate activities within Supervalu. It’ll suit the requirements of the college recruite as the they have mentioned cut off GPA which is 3.0, by which only hard working candidates will be applying. The programme is designed in such a way, where they have provided job rotation, which will give exposure to all the activities in the organization and make them compatible for any job. the training programme of the core activities of Supervalu were divided into modules with a duration of training about an year. Once the training programme gets over candidates are sent back to their respective home town.

Objective of PDP

2. what do think about the way the programme was created. What might you have done differently

ANS: The PDP was created in in a very systematic manner adhering to the core business activities. They took all the necessary steps too see that the training programme would attract, train and retain high potential college graduates. The programme is designed in such a way, where they have provided job rotation, which will give exposure to all the activities in the organization and make them compatible for any job.

I would see that I’ll add up following things to improve the PDP

removal off cut off GPA, because there will be many talented persons who may not be able to get the cut off marks

Develop training programme in such a way that there’ll be existing employees. Which will help the existing employees to update the knowledge, and fresh recruitee to learn from their experience of existing employees.

Provide some flexibility in the PDP.
