Sales Tax Exemption - We can conduct a “Predominant Use Study” that allows a manufacturer, master-metered apartment complex, nursing home, and some other types of facilities to become exempt from state sales tax on monthly electricity and natural gas purchases. For qualified customers, previously paid sales tax can be recouped.

Energy Efficiency Study & Projects - We perform an on-site audit to determine how the facility is currently operating, and what energy and operational savings opportunities are present. A detailed written report is provided, along with ENERGY STAR benchmarking. Many projects, such as lighting retrofits, HVAC upgrades, and VFDs will qualify for additional incentives and rebates. We identify and acquire incentive payments that will reduce energy efficiency project costs.

Power Factor Correction - We eliminate costly PF billing adjustments, which can range from 2-15% or more of the monthly electric bill. Many companies do not realize they are paying this fee because it is not listed as a line item on some utility billing statements. Our well-designed and implemented project will reduce/ eliminate the power factor charges.

Power Quality Study & Projects - Power Quality issues can cause equipment failures and nuisance shutdowns, often costing many thousands of dollars. We assess the root cause of these issues, then recommend cost effective solutions, including grounding improvements, surge protection, power conditioning, uninterruptible power supplies, and harmonic filters. We can also provide Power Quality projects to implement the solutions.

Demand Response - Electric customers above 500-KW demand can often qualify for the demand response program. This allows customers to obtain direct payments from state power grid operators, by making their facility available to shed loads in the event of a utility grid emergency notice.
