REMANUFACTURING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE HP® P1505™

These single-function, monochrome desktop printers, released in late 2007,are the lowest-priced SOHO (P1005) channel laser printers ever released byHP. They can be purchased in retail for around $150 without rebates and thecartridges typicall sell for about $60. The cartridges are also the first to use

    HP’s ‘Chemical magnetic’ toner.

    CRITICAL COMPONENT ANALYSIS

OPC – The OEM OPC is distinct for its poor quality. The profile (uniformity

of application) of the coating is poor and it is almost certainly not

receptive to any type of re-coating applications. – OEM OPC may be re-used for 2 cycles. – Running the OEM ‘E’ pattern for benchmarking will damage the

OEM drum. – MK Imaging drum does not get damaged by running ‘E’ pattern

    tests.Toner

     – OEM product is magnetic polymerized – Aftermarket toners are conventional

    TESTING METHODOLOGY RECOMMENDATIONS

OEM ‘E’ pattern testing reveals an OEM drum problem, not an MK Imagingproblem. This problem will occur whether it is done on continuous or stop-start.
