IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Centre is an important part of the e-Infrastructure of the Czech Republic focused on HPC research and services. The centre operates the most advanced HPC technologies and services and makes them available to Czech and foreign research teams from both academia and industry. One of the key functions of IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Centre is to support industry in the Czech Republic.

ING Corporation, spol. s r.o. was founded as a family owned company with a view to help the disabled people. ING corporation spol. s r.o. is one of the leading companies in the field of prosthetics in the Czech market.

Computer Aided Design & Manufacturing (CADM) has been around for decades. The abrupt development in 3D printing, which we have experienced lately, gives designers and engineers’ opportunities, which were unimaginable just a few years ago. One example is prosthetic and orthotic devices. These devices were traditionally manufactured and customized manually. 3D printing technology allows us to deliver user customized design and thus brings a totally new dimension to this industry. ING Corporation is designing and manu-facturing prosthetic and orthotic devices using 3D printing. Their design must not only be functional, but also aesthetic. This makes their design geometrically very complex, and tra-ditional CAD software could be used only for
