The Print Quality is Poor

Try these solutions:

• Printer placement. HP recommendsthat you place your printer on asolid, sturdy surface—such as asmall table or a shelf in an entertain-ment center. If you place your printerdirectly on top of your TV, the heatfrom the TV may cause the print car-tridge ink to evaporate.

• Print size. Most text, like email andsmall text on Web pages, prints verywell. As the text gets larger, it is con-verted to a graphic image whichmay be slightly fuzzy when printed.

• Printing images or text from an Inter-net terminal on an HP e-printer. Textand colors may look different thanthey appear on the screen whenprinted. When you print from anInteractive television, some imagesare automatically reformatted to givethe best possible printout of the Webpage.

• Ink. If ink is smeared or streaked, clean the nozzle plate and ink noz-zles with a clean, lint-free cloth orcotton swab and distilled water.

1. Nozzle plate surrounding ink nozzles 2. Copper contacts
