Our Mission

Our mission is to harness the taste and wellness benefits of this ancient herb in an ethical manner, and

to bring to it to you in its purest form.

Organically grown, hand harvested and traditionally processed, Honeybush Health herbal tea comes directly from the wilderness Heights Tea Estate in the Tsitsikamma Mountains of the southern Cape in South Africa.

Established in 2005, The Heights Tea Estate has introduced a comprehensive programme of environmental and conservation practices in an effort to

ensure the survival and sustainability of the rarest of South Africa’s herbal teas: Honeybush. Every effort has been made, from planting to harvesting, to safeguard

the Wild Honeybush in its natural state for future generations to enjoy.

Our tea is grown exclusively on the Heights Tea Estate in the local

Cyclopia fynbos biome.

The Heights plantations are laid out in the remote valleys of our Estate, with the

barest human footprint.

The nearest commercial farm is several kilometers away with no carry-over risk of chemical contamination. Our Honeybush is grown organically with no pesticide use.

All water resources are natural spring and stream water, originating in the mountain catchment area,

with no risk of agricultural contamination.

As we believe that “traditional” is best we are proud that both our Mountain tea and plantations are harvested by hand while strict environmental practices are observed. Our Wild and Organic Honeybush is then cured under controlled

conditions and processed for export at The Heights Tea Processors.
