1. Assemble bioreactor (Before autoclave)1. Assemble bioreactor (Before autoclave)

1A. Position OD sensor into head plate (replace the rubber septum). Port adaptor for Applikon head plate was attached.

1B. Cover the attached dust cap.

1C.Autoclave bioreactors (30 min cycle).

2. Connect cable to sensors2. Connect cable to sensors

2A. Connect sensor cables to the respective ports of the “IN” column at the rear of the transmitter. CAUTION: NEVER CONNECT OD SENSOR CABLES to the I/O PORTS. THIS WILL DAMAGE THE SENSORS AND/OR TRANSMITTERS.

2B. Connect OD sensor with cables. (Red dots on both cables are aligned.

3B. Connect cable to computer (fist e-mail from Falk Schneider)

1) Connect the DTP-In (module) rear connector with the serial cable came with the OD4 module.

2) Connect the cable with computer on serial port COM1.

No serial port was available so USB port (COM3) was used.

3) Power on the OD4 module (racking power switch).

3C. Install the software (DTP-Insight, DASGAP EasyAccess)Find software called “DASGIP DTP-Server” (Originally this software couldn’t be found. On Feb 13th 2008, Falk Schneider phoned and e-mailed the software (downloaded form website) and saved to memory sticks and now installed in computer and copies are burn into same CD with other software. Icon won’t show up until it is installed.)

3D.Open DTP-Insight (calibration).

COM1, COM2, COM3 appears(couple of seconds later)

OD4 (25) folder appears under the COMP3
