How to Teach Science to the young learners

Teaching Science to the young learners should be interesting andlots of fun. As we all know the learners have fun doing activities andthey learn to love science. They are also being encouraged todevelop other skills including reading writing, math and art. As whatI observed in my class children learn best by doing andexperimenting. They learn easily by experiencing it through theirsenses. For this reason it is important to focus science lessonsaround things that they can see, hear, touch, taste and smell so thatthey are involve deeply in science as they discover all new anddifferent things around them. Because children are very curios andlove to experiment, as a teacher it is best to provide a perfectopportunity to help children to love science. Science involves a lot ofcommunication with other people. It develops patience in childrenand can help children form healthy life. Science teaches childrenabout the world around them, can spark in children’s minds that theytoo can help solve the world’s big problems.During my Science class I would be experiencing more complicated. yet memorable and meaningful experiences. Making lesson plans andpreparing instructional materials to use in science were verytiresome. I have to spend my nights just to have organized and wellprepared lessons. Yes, teaching Science is a tedious job yet whatmakes it good to note was that every time I handled the class thechildren were very well motivated I provided plenty of opportunitiesfor children to experience things in a hands-on way. I encouragedchildren to increase their curiosity. I noticed in the class thatchildren also learn by finding answers to their many questions whichcome out of their curiosity and are a very important of theirlearning process. By asking more questions help children make

connections in their minds between different things they haveexperienced. I may get tired of answering their questions but Imake it a goal to help them find answers to those questions orsometime I gave them clue to discover the answers themselves.Teacher because these aspects of learning are very important in thedevelopment of young children, the main goal of our teaching is tohelp us provide the young children with opportunities to use theirsenses and ask questions as well. When children learn by doing andexperimenting they retain what they learn in a unique way.As time went by in my teaching Science the feeling of love, care,and compassion toward my students grew. In the same way I feltthat they also felt the same. Verily, parents were texting me howinspired their children who were under me.I hope that our teaching tips will be used flexibly. We can alter theactivities to fit our children’s needs.
