chapter without first having a
plan.

Chapter Good Standing…and why is it important?
Isn’t it the Treasurer’s responsibility?
TEAM
Chapter Good Standing
The government believes AACN’s mission is important
enough to subsidize your organization
by giving it special tax status.
The government is counting on AACN
and all of its members to move their mission forward
to help society.
non-profit & tax-exempt
Chapter Good Standing
Chapter reports roll up into AACN’s reports to the government–if late, AACN can be fined and it puts that non-profit and tax-exempt status in jeopardy.

6. Maintain 100% Good Standing
compliance
7. Have fun! Celebrate your
accomplishments!
Chapter A All officer positions filled, including “-elect “ positions. Conducts annual Chapter Needs
Assessment & SWOT Analysis. Reviews progress of Annual
Operating / Work Plan at each meeting.
40%-50% of members attend meetings.
Web site is current. Visitors and new members are
welcomed and introduced at meetings.
73% of chapter members passed their CCRN test this year
What is this chapter doing right? Is this a Healthy Chapter Work
Environment? What else could they do?
Chapter B Primary officer positions are filled; no “ –elect” positions are filled. Conducted annual Chapter Needs
Assessment; didn’t do anything with the results.
100% compliant with reporting requirements.
No Annual Operating / Work Plan in place; president & treasurer make all decisions “because no one else will help.”
Chapter’s web site is outdated; nothing new posted in months
Chapter president sends e mails IN ALL CAPS and is verbally abusive in writing / in person.
Many chapter members have stopped attending meetings; are afraid of the president and talk only to the treasurer.
What is this chapter doing right? Is this a Healthy Chapter Work Environment? What else could they do?
