What is CNP?

• CNP stands for Child Nutrition Programs

• CNP is the web portal used to enter claims for reimbursement, download forms, and complete the annual application renewal process

Claims for Reimbursement

• Required per 7 CFR 210.8

– Must submit a monthly claim for meals served to eligible children

• This complies with the State of Nevada’s accounting requirements to separate payments between fiscal years

• June 30 marks the end of one year and July 1 the beginning of the next

1. Monthly Site Claim

• This claim form contains individual site(school) information

• A Monthly Site Claim must be submitted for each site (school)

2. Consolidated Monthly Claim

One Consolidated Monthly Claim form per sponsor

• The Consolidated Monthly Claim form combines all the information that was input in the Monthly Site Claims

• The data in the Consolidated Monthly Claim will populate automatically

• The sponsor needs only to verify the information and submit the Consolidated Monthly Claim

• One Monthly ConsolidatedClaim for each sponsor

• The User ID Form is available on the NDA Website under Commodity Foods - Resources

• Mandatory signed copy for access to:

– CNP 2000—ordering system for USDA Foods

– CNP—counting and claiming system– Mustang system—Direct Certification

list

• Email distribution list

• Submit a completed form to add or remove users

f. Once the data is confirmed, use the drop down box to insert a signature to sign the site claim

1. After all the Monthly Site Claims have been entered, you need to submit a Consolidated Monthly Claim

• Once submitted, the Claim processing is done according to the schedule from the Accounting Technician

• Two batches per month

Claim Deadlines

• Claims must be submitted as soon as possible

** Complete no later than the 10th of the following month

• Please reference the Reporting Calendar for final claim submission deadlines
